1.1 Simple Aspect: Present Simple

For example:

1.1C Usages of Present Simple

Future timetable –The meeting starts from 8:30 A.M.

1.2C Usage of Past Simple

We use Past Simple to talk about an action or situation in the past which is
finished. We often say when it happened(e.g. yesterday, last night):

She visited Angkor Wat temple last year.

1.1B Forms of Future Simple

P: Will + infinitive

Future Simple N: Will not + infinitive

Q: Will....+ infinitive?

For example:

1. Mary will not join the party.


2. We will take a taxi to the airport.
3. We will walk to the park and then played tennis.
4. The man in the shop will say something to the women.
5. I will write a letter to a friend.
6. Where will you buy your T-shirt?
7. She will enjoy Pchum Ben Day.

Will
Predictions based on our own opinions or guesswork
-She will visit us someday.
Decision made at the time of speaking
-Oh our guests are here. I’ll go and short out some drinks for them.
Notes: In question asking about decisions, we can use shall(with I and we)
Indicating determination, especially when the action is decided on
-I will come with you at the weekend, whatever my parents say no!
-I’ll come on time!

-Mary is going to enroll her daughter in English class at ASC next week.
Making a prediction, especially if there is evidence in the present to justify the
predictions
-Look at the sky. It’s going to rain very soon.
