IF YES, list air emissions and method for preventing impact to the environment.

List of air Emissions

 Noise
 Vibration
 Any unplanned release of materials or energy, spills or leakage

Preventing Impact to the environment / Control Measures.

 To protect natural environment from work related pollution by adopting engineering
control methods.
 To execute construction activities without risk to personnel harm to environment & nearby
facility through presentations, internal trainings for making improvement in HSE Culture.
 Provision of job specified personnel protective equipments

Water Discharges

Q-3 Will the work you perform produce or cause the release of any wastewater? YES NO

IF YES, how will the wastewater be handled?

There is no use of water in sand blasting Activity.

Materials

Q-4 What materials (chemical, oil, etc.) and /or equipment will you be handling or bringing
on-site to perform the contracted work?

Diesel (used for Air compressor engine)

The Diesel Drum shall be transported and used securely fixed in the upright position. When not in
use, they must be stored in designated area and ensure that Diesel drum are not directly exposed
on sun light.

The DCP fire extinguisher shall be placed in front of designated area having storage and monitored
regularly by HSE Supervisor to mitigate an alarming situation.
Training

Q-5 your employees should be trained on the proper handling of material and equipment,
and the proper response to incidents involving the materials. Describe the training your
employees receive.

Each employee should be provided training on the safe and proper use of the most important,
primary tool—their bodies (Strong, Alert, Focused, Energetic, or SAFE training). Provision of job
specified personnel protective equipments. The training must be on following

Shall be done in a distant segregated area, preferably covered from all sides.

Proper PPE’s should be arranged.

Breathing protection to be provided for operator.

Operator to be authorized and skilled.

RVs to be provided for pressure system.

Area to be barricaded and sign posted.

Dead Man’s handle to be the part of operating nozzle.

Ear protection shall be used for high noise.

Waste Generation

Q-6 Will the work you perform result in any waste? YES NO

IF YES, List the disposal location as well as amounts and types of wastes expected and the
proposed disposal method:

The purpose of the following policy and procedures is to ensure that all kind of waste is properly
and safely managed, from its generation through handling, storage, and preparation for
Transportation

RTML HSE shall also submit Monthly Fuel & Water Consumption Report to Client HSE and record
maintained.

Waste inventory reports shall be submitted to Client Project HSE Representative.

All types of waste shall be handed over to EPA, Pakistan approved contractor and certificates will
be shared with Client standards.
RTML will also submit emissions monitoring reports of all exhaust systems at the time of
mobilizations at site.

Q-7 Will any wastes generated be recyclable? YES NO

IF YES, list the Recyclable and where and how they will be recycled:

YES, Sand will be recycled, to recycle sand blasting material such as sand, keep the sand blasting
material in an enclosed environment. This means that in order to recycle the material, you must use
a special blasting canopy. That being said, you almost always can recycle sand to use again many
times before the material is no longer adequate to strip rust and paint from hard surfaces.

Energy

Q-8 Will the work you perform Consume energy? (Electricity, Compressed air, Natural gas,
steam etc.)

YES NO

IF YES, explain what type of energy will be consumed, and how you will minimize
consumption:

Electricity

Fuel

Compressed air

1. Switch it off when it's not in use. Small changes in electricity usage can help reduce your energy
bills, as well making your business more environmentally conscious. ...
2. Keep energy efficiency in mind.
3. Think sustainability in the workplace.

Air compressor
Leaks
Pipe sizing and configuration
Reduce pressure
Ensure air receiver us are used properly
Control multiple compressor systems effectively
Choose the right dryer and filter
Remove condensate with no-loss drains
Recover heat
Measure and monitor air use
Select the right compressor

Fuel consumption
1. Operate only when needed.
2. Make sure the gas cap is on tight.
3. Avoid idling.
4. Accelerate and break steadily.
5. Drive the speed limit.
6. Coast when possible.
7. Use cruise control on the highways.
8. Make your vehicles more aerodynamic.
9. Minimize air conditioning
10. Replace dirty air filters
11. Maintain proper tire inflation.
12. Reduce weight in the vehicle

Q-9 Are there any ways in which your work will be affecting and/or protecting the
environment?
YES NO
IF so, please describe below

Gas Scrubber and catalytic oxidizer can help to clean the exhaust Air/Vapors

Other
Q-10 Describe methods for minimizing waste emissions and energy usage on site?
Reference to (Q-7 & Q-8 Answer)
