• Think about the notion of a social contract. Discuss what some of the
expectations would be in a social contract between:
• A parent and child
• A school and student
• A hospital and patient.

• What would be the consequences if someone in these relationships broke their

social contract to each other? How do these consequences differ from those
resulting from a broken social contract between a government and its citizens?
