Day No. 03

Experiment: To find the resistance of a galvanometer by half deflection method

Start of the Lesson; Greeting /Verification of attendance & follow

Background knowledge necessary for students before engaging in this lesson;

1.What is a galvanometer?
2.HAVE YOU EVER USED A GALVANOMTER WITH YOUR OWN HANDS?
3.What is a resistance box &what are its kinds in common?
4.What is the purpose of key in circuits?
5.What is a parallel circuit?

Connects the new lesson with the previous one;

In this expt. We will deal with parallel & series circuits. Each electrical device has its own resistance. We will measure the
resistance of a galvanometer.

Announce & Introduce the topic; Experiment: To find the resistance of a galvanometer by half deflection method

Share the Learning outcomes (Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Result Oriented, Tangible/ Timely, Agreed)
At the end of this lesson the students should be able to; Success Criteria;

1.Make the circuit diagram & make connections according to

the diagram
2.Draw the table for observations
3.Take readings practically
4.Explain the circuit’s all components & their function in the
circuit.
5.Verification of the observed final result with the result
found by digital multimeter.

Linking the SLOs; How will the teacher relate these SLOs with real world application, student’s personal goals,
social concerns and connection other subjects.
1.Resistance of galvanometer is needed in the lab.
2.The workshops of electronics use all the components used in the experiment.
3.It directly Enhances electrical & electronic engineering.
4.Use of lab. Creates the sense of carefulness &responsibility which is the need of every society.
5.The practical experience may lead every individual to the best of his/ her future carrier of science &
technology.
