AN ACT IN PROMOTING AND ESTABLISHING A GENDER EQUAL IN THE

PHILIPPINES

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Philippines are known as the world’s 7th most gender- equal society. But, still there are
provinces in the Philippines that didn’t practice this trait. That’s why Philippines remain to be in
the 7th place of the gender gap index. There’s a need in promotion for the awareness of all about
having a fair treatment to any sexes. Also, not all times man is better than woman. There’s some
work for man is done by woman. The world is facing an acute misuse of talent by not acting
faster to tackle gender inequality, which could put economic growth at risk and deprive
economies of the opportunity to develop.

In view of the foregoing, approval of this measure is earnestly sought.
