 Manages audits with all suppliers to validate that production processes are consistent with the

ISIR (Initial Sample and Inspection Report) documentation and/or that production processes are
compliant with continuous improvement procedures.
 Supports new sourcing initiatives, working jointly with Product Sourcing Manager, by identifying
potential Quality and Manufacturing risks as defined on IATF 16949, AIAG and ISO 9000
standards. Conducts audits defining the company profile, current customers, historic issues,
product mix, capacity, skill levels, outsourced product/processes and manufacturing capabilities
and assures that supplier meet SOA’s requirements.
 Manages accessory quality by analyzing all available data - warranty claims, Customer Retailer
Services reports, advanced quality operations reports, Quality Monitoring Reports (QMR), and
Technical Reports (TR); assigns and participates in appropriate audits, reviewing audit
documentation; determines the root cause, coordinates strategic action plans for
countermeasures, and follows up on supplier remedial actions.
 Manages and directs process audits, product inspections and/or testing either directly or through
a third-party quality audit supplier at accessory supplier production and sub supplier facilities.
 Manages accessory product quality standards in cooperation with the Project Engineering
Manager, AQA Manager, and the supplier. Promotes and sustains the proper documentation of
procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the different tasks being performed
by Accessory QA Manager for reference, records and internal audits.
 Works with all appropriate SOA Legal, North American Subaru, Inc. (NASI), Advanced Quality
Assurance (AQA), and Parts personnel to assist in the execution of any legal requirements
pertaining to an accessory.
 Manages all communications with suppliers and NASI, Subaru Corporation (SBR) Quality
Assurance (QA) and SBR Accessory Development (AKB) to determine classifications of quality
issues and agreed-upon corrective measures.
 Works jointly with Project Engineering Manager to successfully complete Failure Modes and
Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) process reviews, often involving late night
video conferences with SBR.

Additional Responsibilities:

 Attends and reports on activities at all SOA Quality Meetings, attends the annual supplier
excellence award event, and produces the annual Supplier Quality Manager’s Conference.
 Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing an annual
budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions consistent
with available resources.
 Supports all supplier manufacturing location and process change requests (MCRs and PCRs);
these typically require an assessment of the risks associated with the changes including and are
not limited to process audits, dimensional validation reports, capability studies and samples parts
submissions approvals.

Required Skills/Abilities:

 Trained and certified with actual experience in conducting ISO/ITAF16949 and Process audits
 Familiarity with production processes including but not limited to thermoforming, injection
molding, metal stamping and extrusion, Printed Circuit Board(PCB) manufacturing, and painting
 Certified Lead Auditor for Technical Specification ISO/ITAF16949
 Excellent cross-cultural interpersonal, communication, presentation, and analytical skills
 Travel 50-75 %, circumstances will dictate

Education/Experience:
 Advanced Degree(MA, MS, JD, PhD) + 8-10 years of related experience. Engineering
degree(Preferably industrial, mechanical, electrical) and Automotive experience a plus
