1. General
This document shows installation of the flushing water pressure gauge onto
slurry multiplexer type MXA 4645 used in association with Courier 6SL analyzer
system.

Flushing Water Pressure Gauge unit provides water pressure contact

information for the Courier 6 analyzer system. Automatic Window Changer
utilizes this contact for successful window change process. Flushing Water
Pressure Gauge comprises of Water Pressure Sensor and required water hose
fittings.

1.1 Installation
Only one flushing water pressure gauge is required for one analyzer system. In
case the system has more than one slurry multiplexers the flushing water
pressure gauge is installed onto water supply hose of multiplexer one.

The switch contact is normally closed but in case the water pressure is lost or
the signal cable is cut the contact opens. The contact is wired onto the input #7
(WPS) of the Main ICM module at the PCS 4000.

Besides the physical installation the user parameters need to be defined for
effectively use of the flushing water pressure gauge contact. The definition is
done at lines 25 and 26 of the MC an MCFL sheet of the User parameters Excel
file. At line 25 “Flush water pressure sensor in use” parameter needs to defined
as “1” and at line 26 “ Flush water pressure signal filtering time” can be defined
as 3 seconds.

At Physical IO sheet the right polarity of Input #7 (FWS LI) has already been
defined by default.

on this document.
