Indicative Tour Itinerary:

10 October: Day 0: Delhi- Munich- Paris


All the participants will gather at Delhi International Airport by midnight 21.00 hrs on 10
October (Traveller on Lufthansa Airlines) & traveller on Alitalia Airlines need to be
present there by 23:45hrs. Check in formalities 4hrs prior to departure and board your
respective Airlines.
Please follow the airline time as mentioned above.

11 October: Day 1:
Delhi- Munich- Paris (Traveller on Lufthansa)
Delhi- Rome- Paris (Traveller on Alitalia)
Arrive Munich or Rome and board connecting flight to Paris. Arrive Paris at 08.05 hrs
(Guests on Lufthansa) and 12.30pm (guest on Alitalia). Fresh up at the airport and
Orientation tour of Paris. Lunch in Indian Restaurant; then 4p.m. Louvre Museum visit which
will cover Roman and French Gallery and portrait of Monalisa. The tour passes before the great
and symbolic tourist locations in the city: the Place de la Concorde, the Champs Ely sees, the Arc de
Triumph, famous Notre Dame Cathedral Then Dinner in Indian Restaurant hotel. Later Check-
in hotel.
Note: Day 1 would be hectic.

Overnight at Paris

12th October: Day 2- Paris

Wake up call at 6 am, morning breakfast at 8 am and Board the Coach sharp 8.30am for
university visit. After university visit lunch in Indian restaurant. Then Fragonard visit at 3 pm
then later visit the famous Eiffel tower stage -2 at 19.00hrs and then dinner in Indian restaurant.

13th October: Day 3- Paris

Today full day free for students, to explore Paris on their own for shopping or visit
Disneyland
No transport will be provided today.

14th October - Day 4- Paris Brussels

After breakfast transfer to Brussels on arrival orientation tour of Brussels. Visit Grand Place,
Town hall, Saint Gudula Cathedral, Lunch in Indian restaurant. Post lunch free time for
students. Then dinner in Indian restaurant and then transfer to hotel.

15th October - Day 5-Brussels – Antwerp- Brussels – Amsterdam


Today after breakfast shart 8.00am board the coach and transfer to Antwerp. At 09.30hrs
visit The Coca-Cola Plant! Coca-Cola is a global brand? Absolutely! And yet are very
approachable. Later post the visit transfer to Brussels. Lunch in Indian restaurant, after
lunch at 15.15 hours lecture session European parliament. After visit transfer to Amsterdam,
dinner in Indian restaurant then transfer to hotel and check-in.

16th October – Day 6 – Amsterdam

Today After breakfast at 8.30 hours sharp board the coach and Transfer to Zaanse schans
village a beautiful heritage of Netherlands. After that diamond factory visit, post industry
visit Amsterdam Canal Cruise. The Amsterdam canal cruise is the best way to discover the
city on board of a boat. Enjoy Amsterdam and its canals. There after Lunch in Indian
restaurant. Then free time for students.

17th October - Day 7


Amsterdam- Zurich- Delhi (Traveller on Lufthansa)
Amsterdam – Rome - Delhi (Traveller on Alitalia)
Today early morning transfer to airport for return flight to Delhi via Zurich/Rome. Board your
Respective Flights. Arrive Delhi international airport 23.55hrs on 17TH October traveller on Lufthansa
and 02:00hrs on 18th Oct 2018 traveller on Alitalia

IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE


Passport:
Please take utmost care of your PASSPORT. It is very important document, if lost

You cannot travel.


Make two photo copies of the passport with front, back & current visa page.
Keep one copy with you always & other copy in your check in baggage.
Please Note: after completing all the formalities keep your passport safely in your check-in
bag; no need to carry original passport every day & every time with you, just keep a Xerox
copy & college id card with you while going for sight-seeing or other visits.

Immigration Process
 You need to show your passport and air ticket to enter the air terminal.
 Proceed to check-in counter of your respective Airlines.
 Hand over the passport & ticket to the counter for check-in. Hand over your check-in bag
and Collect your passport, boarding pass & ticket. (Please check the aforementioned items
Before you leave the check-in counter).
 Produce your passport, boarding pass and air ticket to the immigration
Officer. He will check your passport and will put the immigration stamp on your passport.
(Please note: he may ask some questions about your tour so please read the itinerary
carefully.) After the security check, proceed to the gate of departure. (Gate of departure is
mentioned on your boarding pass.)
 Board the flight. (boarding for international flights starts 1 hour prior to the departure
time)

**You must not include in your Checked Baggage fragile or perishable items or items of special
Value such as: money, jewellery, precious metals, computers, personal electronic devices, share
Certificates, bonds and other valuable documents.
Hand baggage: 1 Piece: 7 kg, sum of length, width and height not to exceed 115cm*
** Deodorants, perfumes, cosmetics, any liquids, jellies and sharp objects must not be carried in
the hand baggage.

Please note weather in Europe is unpredictable. There is heavy winter in November and December
in all these 3 places.

From India students can carry Euro from any recognised foreign exchange dealer. Do not exchange
Currency at the airport as the exchange rate is higher at the airports.

Budget of Additional Costs to be incurred:


Recommended - Carry a minimum of Euro 250- 300 to a maximum of 1000 Euros for:
Intra city transport during free time = 50 Euro
Miscellaneous (tea/coffee) + Souvenir shopping = 80 Euro

*** It is recommended that you carry some dry food items from home like khakra, farsan,
and other light & dry snacks in your check in baggage. This will help you save money on food.

Travel Insurance:
All students are covered under the International Travel insurance policy. Throughout Europe
Hospitalization is free of cost in case of Medical emergencies.

Drinking Water
Water will be provided only during meals organised by WOI.
For rest of the journey students are recommended to top up tap water which is potable and
Safe for drinking as per United Nations Health Bureau.

Customs:
You are allowed to purchase goods of maximum amount Rs.25, 000/- which will not attract custom
duty

Currency Restrictions:
You can carry max USD 5,000. - (or equivalent) in cash or USD 10,000. - (or equivalent) in
Traveller’s cheques.

Some Important observations & notes for Travel In Europe


Culture:
 European countries have a different SOCIAL CULTURE, Working Methodology & you should
respect as well as accept the same when you are on Europe TOUR.

Accommodation:
 In Europe, certain Hotels entertain student’s groups. They have certain quota of rooms
which are allotted for the groups. Considering the group size & members, they allot rooms
on twin/triple or Quadra sharing basis.
 There is No room service.
 No bell captain / porter.
 Sometimes elevator is small.
 The Hotel may / may not have a restaurant attached.
 Students should ensure that they do not disturb other guests in the hotel.
Meals:
 The food taste in India is different than in Europe & one should adjust to it. Meals provided
by WOI are Indian Buffet style with option of Veg and Non /veg (Chicken). In few places WOI
may offer Mac donald meal or give E 10 supplement.
 For meals to be paid by students it generally cost around Euro 7-8 for sandwich + Soft Drink
+ Fruit.

Drinking Water:
 Tap water is potable (drinkable) & is available at the Hotel. In Indian restaurants where WOI
provides meals, water will be available. Other places & while on the move you have to BUY
water bottles or top up your own bottle.
Walking:
European Tours generally involves lot of walking. On an average 5-7 kms daily. In some places
particularly in Paris due to traffic congestion Students will/can travel by Metro. (One day only ) if
required.
Punctuality:
 You need to be on time for the daily breakfast, meals & sight - seeing, otherwise the entire
group has to suffer because of one person is late.
 The appointments for the site visits have to be strictly followed; otherwise we may have
to cancel the visit, if you are late.
Social Behaviour Responsibility:

 Etiquette: This is a group tour with an Academic purpose. Each student has to conduct
himself/herself well and maintain the decorum of the tour.
 You need to behave decently when in Hotel, Bus Coach, public or otherwise.
 Any misbehaviour leading to any legal implications will be your sole responsibility &
Wheel of Innovations or any representative will not be responsible in whatsoever way.
Medical Emergency:

 Please inform about any ailment / disease to your Faculty or Tour Coordinator well in
advance, so that no complications arise later.

 Minor cases like indigestion, cough & cold, over exertion, jet lag etc. In such cases the
Faculty to take decision and supervise the situation. Faculty can direct the student to stay
back in the hotel and rest and administer some basic medication.
 Major cases wherein a student needs to be hospitalised. In such cases Faculty will be
completely responsible for taking the student to the hospital, admitting and completing
other formalities ( Programme co-ordinator will guide you for this But cannot leave the
group) & WOI Program co-ordinator will continue to proceed with the remaining group
members as per the itinerary. This is to ensure that the tour is not hampered for the other
students.
 Evacuation cases wherein a student has to be sent back home prior to the actual date of
departure. In such cases the cost of date change or fresh ticket on another airline has to be
borne by the parents.

Security –
Curfew period will be from 10 pm to 7 am. (This means students has to be back in Hotel before 10
pm and will not go out of hotel until 7 am).
Students will not be allowed to participate or visit Public gatherings and Celebrations
