PLATFORM CHAIR

Purpose Responsible for overseeing the pulpit participants

in the service and setting the quality, mood and
spirit of the worship.

Accountability To the Pastor & Team Leader

Responsibilities
1. Become acquainted with the service program in
order to orient participants. See Bulletin
2. Ask and confirm participation of persons for
tithe/offering reading, scripture reading and
prayer (optional)
3. Relay information of participants to bulletin
secretary
4. Orient persons on what to do for tithe/offering
reading, scripture reading and prayer (optional)
while also encouraging creativity in execution.
Gather group for prayer before service.
5. Before the start of service confirm the presence
and readiness of song leader and pianist. Inform
them when to start song service
6. Work with Church Clerk to read any church
transfers
7. Organize announcements so that they do not
go over time
