Part 1: Do What You Are


Complete the Do What You Are survey in Naviance. Use your report to answer the questions
below.
1. What is your personality type?
A: My personality type is INFP: Introvert, Intuitive, Feeling and Perception.
2. What does each aspect of your personality mean about you?
A: Each aspect means I am introverted, I am intuitive, I am a deep feel, and I perceive.
3. List two strengths indicated on your report. Give an example from your life that
demonstrates that these qualities are strengths.
A: Two strengths are creative and logical. An example from my life would be my ability to
express myself creatively through my writings and style.
4. What qualities should a career have in order to satisfy your particular personality?
A: In order to satisfy my personality type, I would need space, boundaries, and a creative
work environment.
5. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?
A: I can use this information to apply it to my goals and particular career/job choice.

Part 2: MI Advantage
Complete the MI Advantage survey in Naviance. Use your report to answer the questions below.
6. What are your top three intelligences?
A: Existential, linguistic, and intrapersonal.
7. What do these intelligences mean about you?
A: They mean that I am able to question human existence, connect different ideas,
understand higher vocabulary structure, and have the ability to understand my ego/self.
8. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?
A: I can use this information to explore different jobs that cater to my traits and
characteristics.

Part 3: Career Interests Profiler

A: My strongest interests are conventional, social, and artistic.

A: It means I am conventional, self-expressive, and thoughtful.

Part 4: Work Values


Go to www.onetonline.org. Under “Advanced Search”, select “Work Values”. Review the
description of each work value. Select three work values that are most important to you.
Answer the questions below about your work values.

A: My top 3 work values are support, independence, and achievement.
13. What do these work values mean about you?
A: These values mean that I want to strive for achieving my goals, declare my independence,
and receive support from my environment.
14. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?
A: I can use this to choose a career that suits my goals.
Part 5: Career Results Comparison
Review the career lists provided at the end of each survey. Identify three careers that are similar across
the lists. List the careers and explain why each career may be satisfying to you citing evidence from your
survey results.

A: Three careers that are similarly chosen for me are teacher assistant, teacher, and librarian. None of
these careers sound appealing to me but I could choose them as a backup or 2 nd option.
