CASE ANALYSIS

1.As a project work in Business Management, the Entrepreneur students of TAU thought of
preparing the apple jam from the apples grown in their school premises and sell it in the sc
hool annual fete. They approach the Dean who not only appreciated the students but also ga
ve his consent for the same. The school decided to donate 50% of the revenue generated fr
om the sale to a nearby orphanage. After the school fete, the school also decided to extend
this project by providing employment to visually challenged and disadvantaged sections of s
ociety in regular basis.

a)Explain any two product-related decisions which the students had to take.

Ans: The students of TAU thought of preparing apple jam because there is apples in the sc
hool, and also there is annual celebration in school.They thought that because of the apples
they can use it, they can sell it to raise their fund.

b.)Suggest any two functions that the ‘label’ of the jam bottle must perform.

Ans: The label of the jam must be appropriate to the said fruit that they used. Because ther
e are two types of apple. The red apple and the green apple. Mostly they use the red one. I
f they used the apple, the seal must be color red too.

c.)Identify two values communication to society by this project of TAU.

Ans: By extending the project, the school will provide employment to visually challenged a
nd disadvantaged people. The school is giving hope for the unemployed peolpe. Because of
that project, they are helping the orphanage where many childrens thet don’t have family is
staying.

2.An important task in marketing of goods relates to designing a label as its provides useful
and detailed information about a product. In the light of the above statement, draw label fo
r a ‘liquid soap’ and highlight the important information to be provided on it.
3.AETM Hotel in TAU was facing a problem of low demand for its rooms due to off-seaso
n. The Managing Director (MD) of the hotel, Ms Ruth was very worried. She called upon t
he Marketing manager, Nard for his advice. He suggested that the hotel should announce an
offer of ‘3 days and 2 nights for hotel stay package’ with free breakfast and one-day religi
ous visit to Calao and Monasterio. The MD liked the suggestion very much. Identify the pr
omotional tool which can be used by the hotel through which large number of perspective p
ilgrimage tourists all over the country and abroad can be reached, informed and persuaded t
o use the incentive.

Ans: The hotel should use TV Commercial that can promote their hotel and using the social
network, many tourists around the world will surely watched or read about the ‘3 days and
2 nights hotel stay package promo. By using that tool, your hotel will be discoverand will
be visited by many people came from other places and countries.
