Mahugani Security & Investigation Agency (MSIA) was established in April 1, 1994 by Mr.

Gervacio
“Gerry” V. Ramirez. Sir Gerry is a former VP for Visayas and Mindanao of Family Savings Bank and Trust
Corporation.

 In 1996, Mr. Jay Ambrose B. Ramirez (an Industrial Engineer by profession) and a graduate of
Ateneo de Davao University, also the eldest son of Mr. Gerry V. Ramirez assumed the Command
Post of the Agency. With loyal staff by his side namely: Avel, Leah and Miguel. Under his
leadership and guidance, he embedded into the agency’s corporate culture and genes of what is
now known as the “PRO-GUARD POLICY.”

By late 1996, in a span of two (2) years, actual operation of the agency was granted a regular license to
operate and was already recognized as one of the major players in the Southern Mindanao Security
Business Community.

By early 1997, the agency has achieved the unprecedented status to be among the few agencies that
religiously follow the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 5487 thus attracting more clients in
such a short period of existence leading to the creation of more posts.

In 2012, Mr. Nestor Lu, also an Industrial Engineer and a graduate of the Ateneo de Davao University
joined MSIA as a systems analyst, quality consultant for operations department and also heads the
organizational development of the company.

As of January of 2017, the agency has an asset of almost Php 30M, a total guard strength of almost 918
guards, 43 armored car units composed of 218 clients and 26 support services personnel (admin).

The agency’s top clients include: JG Summit Group of Companies (Gokongwei Family), Filinvest
Development Corporation (Gotianun Family), Longridge Construction Inc. , RRFC, Maybank Phils Inc.,
HSBC and Unionbank.

The Agency has been in the security business for more than 20 years. It has vast experience and
operations “know how” on the Industrial, Mall, Residential Community, Call Center, Retail Security, Bank
and Armored Car Security.

The Agency’s threatre of operations is limited to the Visayas and Mindanao region, more particularly on
the following areas: Davao City, CDO, Gensan, Cotabato, North Cotabato, CARAGA, Zamboanga, Cebu,
Bacolod, Samar, Leyte, Iloilo, Ozamiz and Pagadian City.
