Welcome to the August 2019 issue of our Manufacturing Update.

Mufson Howe Hunter is pleased to present you with our current monthly
Manufacturing Update, which supplements our quarterly newsletter on
publicly-traded companies that participate in various sectors of
manufacturing.

Our monthly report contains macro index trends, comparable analysis by sub-
sector and recent financial news on selected companies during the prior
month. Over 100 companies (both domestic and foreign) are included in our
universe. We organize these companies into four primary sectors:

• Components & Materials

• Industrial Equipment

• Engineering & Industrial Services

Each of these sectors is broken down into two or more sub-sectors.

 The manufacturing sector’s performance this last quarter indicates continued
expansionary performance but the relative trends of most of the key indicators
have been negative.
