WARNING: LUBRICATING OIL IS TOXIC TO SKIN, EYES, AND THE RESPIRA-

TORY TRACT. AVOID REPEATED OR PROLONGED CONTACT
WITH SKIN. WEAR RUBBER GLOVES AND APPROVED RESPI-
RATOR WHEN PROLONGED CONTACT WITH LIQUID OR MIST
CANNOT BE AVOIDED. IF PROLONGED CONTACT WITH SKIN
OCCURS, WASH AREA WITH SOAP AND WATER. IF LIQUID
CONTACTS EYES, FLUSH EYES WITH WATER IMMEDIATELY. IF
LUBRICATING OIL IS SWALLOWED, DO NOT TRY TO VOMIT.
GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL HELP.

(17) Apply a thin coat of engine oil on the threads of the new sight gage (115) and install the

LUBRICATING OIL IS SWALLOWED, DO NOT TRY TO VOMIT.
GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL HELP.

(2) Fill the oil tank with approved engine oil to the top of the sight gage (full level). Filling
the oil tank when empty will require approximately 5 quarts (5 liters) of oil.

(3) Install the filling cap (100) and lock down.

(4) Observe the oil pressure indicator in the cockpit while motoring the engine. Refer to
the Aircraft Flight Manual for motoring instructions.

(5) Motor the engine oil pressure should be observed within 15 seconds.

(6) Continue to motor the engine for a minimum of 30 seconds after the engine oil pressure
is observed.

(7) After motoring the engine, wait 5 minutes but not more than 15 minutes before continu-
ing. If more than 15 minutes have transpired since motoring the engine, motor the
engine for 30 seconds, wait 5 minutes, then continue this procedure.

(8) Remove the oil filing cap (100).

(9) Top off the oil tank to the full level.

CAUTION: FAILURE TO REINSTALL FILLING CAP (100) IN THE OIL FILL

GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL HELP.

NOTE: The oil level can be checked any time with warm or cold oil after the
engine has been shutdown, although motoring the engine followed by a
waiting period may be required. If the oil is checked warm, a waiting
period of 15 minutes is required. Refer to the following step (2).

(1) Remove the oil filling cap (100, Figure 1).

(2) Check the oil level within 5 to15 minutes of shutting down the engine by viewing the
sight gage. (See Figure 3.) If the oil level is below the center of the sight gage, the oil
tank must be serviced. If more than 15 minutes have elapsed since shutting down the
engine, motor the engine for approximately 30 seconds, wait 5 minutes, then check the
oil level and service the oil tank if required.

(3) Fill the oil tank with approved engine oil to the top of the sight gage.

CAUTION: FAILURE TO REINSTALL FILLING CAP (100) IN THE OIL FILL

PORT BODY ON THE ACCESSORY GEARBOX WILL RESULT IN
LOSS OF OIL FROM THE OIL TANK.
