Anthropology is the science of humanity which studies human beings in aspects ranging from the
biology and evolutionary history of Homo sapiens to the features of society and culture that
decisively distinguish humans from other animal species. There are four fields in dealing
anthropology namely archeology, biological, linguistic and cultural. Archeology a science that
deals with past human life and activities by studying artifacts in which archaeologist discovered
that the most important aspect in human nature is survival. Biological Anthropology focuses on
how the human body adapt to its environment. The study on how human beings evolved from
their early form based on discovered fossilized remain. Linguistic Anthropology study of how
humans used language as an essential part to communicate and to create and share meanings, to
form ideas and concepts and to promote social change. Culture is described as a group people’s
way of life. Includes their behaviors, beliefs, values, and symbols that they accept. The theory of
Cultural Determinism deals that the human nature is determined by the ideas, meanings, beliefs
and values learned as members of a society. Symbols are the words, gestures, pictures or object
that have recognized/accepted meaning in a particular culture. Heroes are persons from the past
or present who have characteristics that are important in culture it might be real or fictitious.
Rituals are activities social or religious participated in by group of people for the fulfilment of
desire and considered to be socially essential. Values the core or every culture. Values are
unconscious and can neither be discussed nor be directly observed but can only be inferred from
the way people act and react to circumstances and situations.
