The passage states that there are some

efficient ways to protect Torreya taxifolia

from declining and it also states that there is
splendid chance if nothing is done. The
professor refutes this point that these ways
cannot protect this plant form declining and
she proves her points by some ways.
First, the passage claims that we can
reestablish it in the same location with the
help of microclimate which known that it has
its effects on this plant in north Florida
specially the climate is favorable for it.
However, the professor opposes this point
that they cannot establish this plant again
because of climate changes due to global
warming and many other weather situations.
Second, the passage says that scientists can
move Torreya to north which give them the
applicability to decrease the temperature
more which is known as assisted migration,
but the professor has another opinion about
this point. She opposes it by claiming that
scientists have tried this process before, and it
had a harmful effect on plants and animals
around the transported plant.
Finally, the passage states that the can
preserve this plant in research centers to
search more about ways which can increase
its resistance against diseases and all harmful
impacts on it. It is useful for it that it will
improve the environment that torreya needs
and protect it form external situations.
Nevertheless, the professor says that it is not
solution because they may be unable to find
out what can make this plant resistant to
diseases because it needs to be genetically
variated to make it resist and this cannot be
provided for trees such torreya in research
centers because they needs large population
trees to search on them, furthermore, it will
not give it the discrimination for survival. This
how the professor states her ideas.
In my view, I think teachers are the most
influenced persons in our lives after our
parents. Sometimes they can influence us
more than our parents. Teachers are our
paragons and leaders, so, we learn many
things from them like leadership and many
other things in those fields. I think they can
influence us more than our friends for many
reasons.
One of those reasons I have mentioned it
above that they are our paragons, they look
like heroes to my eyes. Teacher always give us
the support we need and the advices which
are necessary for us in any time without being
upset or anything like that. This is what my
friends lack that they are in the same age of
mine which means that the have the same
experience as me, so, there advices will not
be useful for me as my teachers' advice.
Friends can give us the support we need but it
does not mean that all my friends will give me
this support, some of them can make me
upset and disappointed. For example, I was
participant in competition in chemistry and
some of my friends gave me support but the
other were jealous and continue to make me
upset and tell me that I cannot win or make
any difference and many other things but
finally Mr. Reda, my chemistry teacher, said
to me that I will win but I have to believe in
myself. I cannot forget his look to me when he
was nearby my father and I was taking my
award.
One more reason is that my teachers
influence me is their applicability to be in my
side any time I want them, like my father. In
other words, teachers always take care of us
like our parents with many details and this
influence us in many ways. I have two
examples in this point. The first when I missed
my English class for 4 sessions in two weeks
because I was ill, I did not think that my
teacher will observe this, but in the next day I
found him in my home to check me if I was
right or not. I really appreciate him for what
he had done for me. When I got back to
school, he sat with me alone and revise what I
have missed when I was ill without being
upset or something like that. Another
example, in my physics class, I did not
understand the concept of electric current
and when I went to her and told her about my
issue, she got me an hour to teach me more
about this concept till I comprehend it
without any lack.
The nutshell of what I have written is that
teachers are our second parents. Our second
parents must influence us like our parents not
like our friends. They are our paragons and
they can be near to us any time we want.
Therefore, I think teacher influence us more
than our friends.
