364 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. “Christians should
be impressed with deepest gratitude at the sight of God manifested in Eucharistic Adoration.
Whoever disregards this wonderful gift of God forgets and ignores the fact, that in the Host,
the same God is present who once in human form walked upon the earth and once laid in the
crib. In Eucharistic Adoration that Divine eye looks upon us whose look on the day of
judgement will fill the blessed with delight.” (Rev. Lukas Etlin, O.S.B.) “The Holy Eucharist, Our All.”
Call today for your act of faith and love. 330-745-6852 Joie.

Twenty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time
“Those who humble themselves will be exalted.” Family life confirms the words of
Jesus in today’s gospel. Commitment, intimacy, loyalty, and love are the rewards of
humble service and care for one another. Pope Francis reminds us, “No family drops
down from heaven perfectly formed.” The Joy of Love #325

Now that the hot days of summer are over, we are starting Euchre back up.
Join fellow parishioners for a few friendly hands of Euchre, Friday, September
6, beginning at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Sloppy Joes will be provided, bring a
covered dish to share. See you there!

It is that time of year again! A new season of RCIA is about to begin and in order
to be hospitable and serve the Inquirers well, several things are needed: Prayer
Partners (make a commitment to pray in a regular way for an Inquirer); many
people to provide a simple snack for a weekly session and parish sponsors. It is
common for inquirers to have difficulty finding an appropriate sponsor or to have
someone who can be present for Rites celebrated and/or to be a companion on the
journey, this should not be a concern for you. If our Lord is prompting you to respond
to one of these needs – or to find out more, please call Fr. Bill Browne at 330-745-
0011. R.C.I.A. begins, Monday, September 9 at 7:00pm in the rectory.

It is hard to believe that the Annual Parish Picnic “St. A’s Safari”, is today Sunday,
August 25, following the 10:30 Mass. Events will include an Organ Concert, Day

complimentary meal, beverages and much more. Stop in and enjoy good food, fun,
and most importantly fellowship on our special day.

A "Caring and Sharing" session for those struggling with divorce, separation or widowhood will be held
on Monday, August 26 from 7:30-9:00pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary's Convent Building, 1945 Portage
Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Marlene Maruna, a retired Social Worker, will facilitate this session. This event is
open at no charge to people of all faiths. For information call Marlene 330-607-6284.

Come and join a bible study of the Gospel of Luke. We’ll be using a study
guide with commentary and notes by Scott Hahn and Curtis Mitch.
Study guides will be provided to all participants. There will be seven
weekly sessions meeting in the rectory each Monday evening starting on
September 9 at 7:00pm and running through October 21. Please contact

Pastor’s Formed Pick of the Week: “Light of Love”

We often have ideas of religious life… either kneeling in a convent or out in the streets
assisting the poor. While both of these scenes are essential to the life as a sister, Light of
Love takes a deeper look into understanding the call… the “why” of religious life. By interviewing
five sisters, from five orders across the United States, the film places viewers face to face in
intimate conversations with these amazing women. What does it mean to be called? What are
the struggles of religious life? How have you seen God move through your ministry? These
questions and others are addressed throughout the film. The film itself is very simple: 60
minutes designed for viewers to quiet their surroundings and enter into convent, the food pantry,
the hospital, and the chapel. With minimal music and simple visuals, Light of Love gives viewers
a look into the lives, suffering, and joys of religious life captured in a way like never before.
Christ’s Peace!
