WHAT IS PWA?
In 2002, the Philippine Women’s
University-CDCEC was organized and
operated at Capistrano St., Cagayan de Oro
City with the initial offering of the Caregiving
Program. During its second year of operation,
other courses were offered, such as Nursing
Assistant, Two-Year Hotel and Restaurant
Management, and Tourism Management.
By December 2008, the school’s location
was transferred to Mabulay Subdivision,
where its operations are now done. Today,
the school is named Professional World
Academy-Misamis. These results after the
organizers decided to be independent from
the Philippine Women’s University.
PWA offers courses/programs that answer
the needs of the market and provides quality
education to students for them to become
globally employable.
MANAGEMENT
PWA management sets a clear
direction leading to improvement and
promoting high quality education. For years,
PWA monitors performance to reach
challenging targets through quality
assurance, learner outcomes and the quality
of teaching and learning.
The management believes in its human
resource as it’s valuable asset, as stated in
its Vision; “knowing well that a strong
organization can only be as strong as its
people”.

Professional World Academy-Misamis is
committed to provide quality-enhanced
programs, services and initiatives
designed to equip its students with the
necessary skills, discipline and right
attitude to successfully pursue their
career of choice in hospitality services,
health care and business.
Further, PWA is committed to institute a
regular mechanism for program reviews
to strengthen its curricula and to develop
new courses or upgrade its existing
offerings.
Lastly, PWA is committed to strengthen
and energize its most valuable asset, its
human resource and increase
stakeholder value, knowing well that a
strong organization can only be as strong
as its people.
