The Book Of John John 2:12-17

After this He went down to Capernaum, with His mother and His brothers and His disciples, and
they stayed there for a few days. The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to
Jerusalem. In the temple He found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the
money-changers sitting there. And making a whip of cords, he drove them all our of the temple,
with the sheep and oxen. And He poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their
tables. And He told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do no make my Father’s
house a house of trade.” His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for you house will
consume Me.”
There’s a Word for that! Anxiety

Did you realize that worrying is a form of meditation? Being anxious tends to take over your
thoughts and limits your effectiveness as an educator. Anxiety adds nothing of value to your life.

Matthew 6:27– And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Why do we dwell on the things that make us
anxious? What good does it do for us to fret?

Can worry and anxiety add a single hour to

our lives? No, in fact it can shorten our lives.
Help us Lord to come to You immediately
when we feel anxious. Help us to pray Your
Word which will add years to our lives. There

is no anxiety medication that can cure our

worries like being prayerfully dependent
upon You. We ask for Your endless help with
anxiety in the perfect name of Jesus. Amen.

Meditation for the month

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the
beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made
