COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course deals with pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, clinical/therapeutic uses and toxicology of drugs. Emphasis is given on how a drug works to
COURSE OBJECTIVES anticipate when giving a drug to a patient are of paramount importance since nursing responsibilities include administering drugs, assessing drug effects,
intervening to make a drug more tolerable, and providing teaching about drugs and the drug regimen.

At the end of the course, the students would have:

Grades are computed using the following formula:

Grade = [(raw score) / (perfect score)] x 50 + 50

CLASSROOM RULES OF CONDUCT

A. Attendance
1. Students are expected to attend all sessions. A student who is absent for more than 20% of the total number of class hours (29 hours out of 144 hours) may be dropped from the
course subject as stipulated in the JRMSU Code.
2. Any student who was absent in the previous session should present to the instructor an excuse letter or an absence slip signed by the level coordinator and the college dean before
entering the next session.
3. If a student’s total number of absences reach 10, the instructor may recommend to the college dean that the student be dropped from the course and be given a grade of 5.0.
B. Course Requirements (projects, written output, assignments) must be submitted on time.
C. Wearing of prescribed uniform and ID is required.
