2 Copy-on-Write Snapshot secondary volume inaccessible
Phenomena The following phenomena may occur.
1) An I/O error occurs with Read I/O to the secondary volume of Copy-
on-Write Snapshot (CoW). (SSB EC=3287 occurs.)
2) In the configuration where the secondary volume of Universal
Replicator (UR) is the primary volume of CoW, the following phenomena
may occur.
2-1) UR pair operations (Resync, Flash Suspend, and Delete) do not
complete. (SSB EC=EC84 occurs frequently)
2-2) The JNL usage rate in RCU is increased improperly, and the pair
suspends due to full JNL in the end. (SSB EC=EC84 occurs frequently).
3) In the configuration where the UR secondary volume is the primary
volume of Shadow Image (SI), the following phenomena may occur.
3-1) UR pair operations (Resync, Flash Suspend, Delete) take long. (SSB
EC=EC84 occurs frequently)
3-2) The JNL usage rate in RCU is increased improperly, and the pair
suspends due to full JNL in the end. (SSB EC=EC84 occurs frequently)
Severity (High, Medium, Low) Medium
Conditions of Occurrence Phenomenon 1) After I/O error the phenomenon may occur when all the
following conditions (A) to (E) are met.
(A) RAID700 Ver.70-02-70-00/00 and later
(B) OPEN system connection
(C) CoW secondary volume is not an external volume
(D) CoW secondary volume capacity exceeds 3TB
(E) Read I/O is issued to an area over 3TB in CoW secondary volume
