WHAT TO DO IN AN INTERVIEW

Today many companies conduct initial phone interviews to help


determine the best qualified candidates for job opportunities.Given this
it is important to make a great impression that leads you to an in-
person interviews and one step closer to landing the job.

Atfirst push the door softly then say “Excuse me sir may I come
in” .After getting the permission you will say “Thank you sir
,thank you very much”.
Then standing beside the chair not in front of the chair you will
be waiting for the permission of your sit though it would take
10 or 15 or lots of time yet you do not say anything about your
sit and do not say “Can I sit here ?” because it will verify your
patience.
If they ask you why are you standing here? then you will say “Sir
without your permission how can I sit here?
Then they will say “Ok sit down”.You will say ok sir thank you
very much”.
1>prepare for the interview by researching the company and the people
with whom you will be meeting.
2>Practice responding to typical interview questions and relating your
answers to the company.
3>Be similar with the job description and focus on the competencies of
the job when answering questions.
4>Dress appropriately for the job-when in doubt,wear a suit,look
professional.
5>Bring several copies of your resume with you to the interview.
6>Arrive 15 minutes erly to become fresh ,relaxed and complete any
forms ,if necessary.
7>Know where you are going ahead of time and consider doing a test
run.
8>Stay calm and take a few moment to think about the question before
responding.
9>Ask for clarification if you are not sure what is being asked.
10>Send a thank you note to each person with whom you have
interviewd to reiterate your interest in the position.
11>Strength –know your strength and have a short story to tell which
demonstrate that strength .
12>Academic performance to discuss your grades ,mension particular
courses that related to your targeted career and describe “hands
on”knowledge you have learned through labs,internships,service
learning ,etc.
13>Be prepared that what you have learned from your previous work
experience and how it related to the position.
14>State how your major matches your career interests and
professional goals would motivate you to do your best work for them.
15>Analize the job description ,match your experience to the position.
16>Know your resume inside and out and prepare examples of your
accomplishment.
17>Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.Maintain a positive
confident attitude throughout the interview and avoid making excuses
and blamimg others.Be honest when you are asked about weakness
and past failure but focuses on positive elements such as what you
learned from a past failure or what steps you are taking to improve
yourself.
18>During the interview make a great first impression ,offer a firm
handshake ,have good eye contact ,smile and be polite.
19>Give clear , Stay focused well organized answers to the interviewr”s
questions .Do not ramble or give irrelevant information.Remember why
you are there –to make a presentation of your skills and abilities as a
candidate for a particular job and keep your answers on track with that
purpose.
20>Keep your answer brief and on point but do not just give yes or no
responses ,give a word picture to illustrate personal quqlities.
21>relax ,think the interview as a conversation not an interrogation.
22>Be enthusiastic , confident and courteous and honest.
23>Listen to the questions carefully and give clear ,concise and
thoughtful answer.
24>Convey interest in the organization and knowledge of the position.
25>End the interview with a firm handshake and thank the interview
panel for their time and consideration.
After the interview send a 1-3 paragraph thank you letter within 24 or
48 hours of the interview to reiterate your interest in the position
,mention anything you know reinforces you as a good fit for the job and
your contact information.just like,

which area you could improve on in the future.
26>smile ,make eye contact and acknowledge all members of an
interview panel.

position and your credential helps offer the organization an
understanding of why you are the asset they are looking for.

done your research .But do not ask combative questions that can be
perceived as attacking the interviewers or their employer.

learn if the job is right for you.

time for that.

talking too much you may miss cues concerning what the employer
feels is important.

lip,tight or forced smiles,folding or crossing your
arms,slouching,nervous laughter etc.
40>Just sell your self to the interviewer.Show that you have the
personality and the skills,remember the best salesperson get the job.
41> The interviewer always ask you many puzzle and latest questions to
make you nourvous but still you have to be very confident,cool minded
and ofcourse intelligent .Because they judge your reaction when you fell
in to a bad situation and how can you overcome from this all.
42>Be always comfortable.
43>Avoid unconscious hand moment.
44>Avoid head bobbing.
45>Be relaxed and do not overstress yourself.A comfortable mind shall
generate a good outcome.Be yourself and do not pretend to be
somebody else .The interviewrs want to know the real you,the potential
candidate they may accept in.
