1. What is Educational Technology?

Educational technology is a utilization of technology to advance education. It is a systematic,
interative process for designing instruction or training used to improve performance especially in
teaching profession. According to , (collier et al. 1971)educational technology involves the
application of systems, techniques and aids to improve the process of human learning. It could
be used as a theoretical construct,discipline, and profession.

2. How does educational technology differ from technology in education?

Educational technology is the full range of digital hardware and software used to support
teaching and learning across the curriculum “international society for technology in education,
2008” while the technology in education are the problem based-learning, utilizing math, science,
 and technology principle”(international technology and engineering educators association,
2009).

3. What are the theories that under in educational technology?

The theories that under in educational technology are:
1. Behaviorist theory (B.F Skinner) : Learning as stimuli response chain.
2. Information processing theory (Atkinson and Shiffrin) : The mind as computer.
3. Cognitive behavioral theory (R. Gagne): Providing conditions for learning.
4. System theory and systematic instructional design: managing complexity of teaching.
5. Social activism theory (John Deweys) : learning as social experience.
6. Social cognitive theory ( Albert Bandura) : social influence on learning.
7. Scaffolding theory (Lev Vygotsky) : learning as a cognitive building process.
8. Child development theory (Jean Piaget) : stages of development.
9. Multiple intelligence theory (Howard Gardner) : The role of intelligence in learning.

4. What is educational technology concern with?

Education technology concern with methodology that involve advance innovation in all aspect.
To improve education and have the most effective learning for the new ambiance of
environment for students learners and educators. The students will engage with the different
teaching materials used by technology.

6. How is technology applied in education?
The technology has created more educational opportunities to students. Both teachers and
students have benefited from educational boundaries, they can collaborated in real time using
advance educational technologies. Technology has digitized classrooms through digital
learning tools. It helped in the growth of mobile learning and long distance learning.
7. What is the state of educational technology in the country? Is it dismal or promising?
Promising, because educational technology has a good advantage to us as a future
educator. Because of technology we can easily access information that could help us to have a
successful task or good fulfillment. We all know that technology has also have disadvantages
in our life especially when we are abusing it but because of term educational technology
means we have to use it in a proper way that only lead to our success and can't destroy to our
lives.

8. What are the commonalities of the different definitions, associated to educational

technologies?
The commonalities of the definition of educational technology are both of them has a good
impact to the person since we use technology to have an improvement as an individual like
through technology we encouraging ourselves to do our task easily, we learn how to facilitate
our learning in school and we improve our performances by using and managing technology in
appropriate manner. And as we all know, educational technology is a professional machines
that can explain those theories learning. It is one of the best way to be more effective person
because of the information we have cope up, and also it is the best way to have an easy
communication with other people even it is formal or informal.

9. Why is it said that technology is a wide as educational itself? Shoud we treat

educational technology as an integrated? Why or why not?
Yes! Why? Because nowadays technology provides visual stimull aid learners in
understanding abstract concepts, and technology application can offer a series of information,
practice, and assessment and can offer quick, accurate, information on learners development!
