Question 1

Cause and effect trend of smaller family size.

In developed countries, most of the country are becoming wealth as they grow more and at

the same time these countries are seeing a decrease in the smaller family size. According to the

world statistic is average 45% are reduction in the size of the family unit (OCED, 2011). In current

years, most family in the world only have one or two kids. This essay will discuss the reasons of

smaller family size and the how does this affect society.

First and foremost, birth control is one of the major reason of smaller family size. For this

reason, many developed countries have a small amount of community. For instance, Singapore is

a one of the developed country but these countries only have 5.607 million because of birth control

(OECD, 2010). Every developed country based by their level of education. Nowadays mostly

women are more educated and more likely to be working. Therefore, increasingly many women

will want to delay having children because establish themselves in jobs and careers.

Besides that, other major reason for smaller family size is work outside. For this causes,

most women are likely to work outside rater staying at home. For example, in 1990 years women

are very fear to travelling and working far place but nowadays women like working very far, they

only think about their monetary lifestyle and stay at there. One of the theory the workplace has

sometimes been referred to as an inhospitable place for women they want to face difficult situation

due to the multiple forms of gender inequalities present (Abrams,1991). As a consequence, for

working mother they are struggle to make balance between work and family life because they have

work in the strict schedule and if they have to look their children. For this reason, many parents

they decide to prevent of their family size.


As a result of this, small family size society can affect in a less population. If less

population in developed country can get negative impact. As an illustration, there will be fewer

people will need social service, fewer younger people in the workforce in the future, the

government get less money from taxes and taxes many increase in future. On the other hand, if

less population also have some positive effect to society in developed country. For example, with

a small population there will be many jobs available, less competition, more successful people and

people will be better off.

As a consequence, of small family size produce in future selfish society. This is one of the

apparent effect of small family size they can be seen it makes the child a selfish individual. For

such as, cannot get that sibling relationship, child in a small family cannot be learn the way to

share to another person earlier in his/her life. Other than, in future also they always think about

themselves, but they do not worry about another person. According to Mr. Phil McGraw one of

the quotes “the truth is, I think we are a self-less society, not a selfish society because we're so

busy now” (Phil McGraw, 2001). So, it clear show in developed country effect of small family

size in future become selfish society.

In conclusion, a trend towards smaller family size in developed country has cause to birth

control and workforce and this can have positive and negative effects on society. In my opinion,

smaller family size is one of the barrier to society, most people believe that the advantages

overshadow the disadvantages considerably. Regardless of any impacts, this trend is likely to

continue as countries around the world develop and become wealthier.

Subject: To improve relationship among staff members.

A primary goal of Build Tech. Sdn. Bhd. is want to increase staff members. I observer within the

past three years our company has grown from small team of 15-staff to a 60-staff team. However,

recently I noticed our company staff members no longer communicate with one another other than

work. The purpose of this memo is reason behind this situation, effects of the lack of

communication and organize some activities to improve relationship among staff members.

The major reason of reducing relationship among staff members is personality clashes. In general,

is seen between two people with opposite personalities. When personality clashes with among staff

members in the workplace are regularly unescapable, but when left unchecked they can reason

lead to problem of anxiety, considerable psychological stress and those involved can get

depression. For example, when ego clashes can also lead to the breakdown of working relations

with among team members and can damage productivity of an organization as a whole. The

problem is mistrust between both the side with their character.

Besides that, employee morale is one of the effect of the lack of communication and low team

spirit among staff members. Through employee morale will slowly become lower they didn’t care
about the company. When they low team spirit still do their jobs, but they not take maximum

initiative to develop company. They will only do the minimum required. We cannot expect from

them extra effort will not be on display, its can affect the results from their work. If this situation

continues with among staff spread to the all entire company and it can become a dangerous cancer.

However, the best suggestion to improve the relationships among staff members is a forming a

group. Staff members all must participate and involve in team then they can exchange their own

idea. When involved in the team they easily can feel it’s very important and indispensable for the

organization. This way people tend to talk with each other more, discuss among themselves so the

comfort level can rise. When involve in group they discussing the pros and cons of each point its

helps to understand very well the topic. Staff all are committed to teamwork, the problem are

solved more easily and output is greater.

Furthermore, must have morning meeting every working days is another effective way to improve

the relationship among the employees. The morning meetings not be too formal because let people

come together on a common platform and discuss whatever issues they have. Morning meeting

people all great with a warm smile and can start their day with some positive thoughts. On morning

they exchange greetings and compliments with other staff members. This is one of the advantages

to if any staff members are not in a pleasant mood and can take the initiative to solve the problem.

Every week morning meeting management can give encourage surprise gift who perform well in

their job. Morning meeting encourage the staff members look forward to going to office daily and

can increase the relationship with other members.


In a conclusion, communication is very important for relationship among staff members. An

employee needs to be motivated and needs organize some activities to communicate to each other.

I hope to managing director approve my suggestion and we organize some activities to all staff

members to improve relationship among staff members sure can gets benefits for our company.

When we follow the suggestion sure can communication effectively with our fellow team members

and you would never have a problem with anyone.
