Overview of Access assessment:
The in-class Access assessment will last for 1 hour in a controlled environment that has no
internet or USB access, except to Canvas system.

This is the flow of the assessment:

1. Your Lecturer will instruct you to conduct the assessment in the first 15 minutes.
2. You will log in the test environment using a provided user name and password.
3. You will log in canvas using your student ID and password, then go to Access
assessment link in assignment page to download the Access database for
assessment. You will have 15 minutes to do so.
4. Your Lecturer will give you a copy of the Access assessment instruction.
5. The assessment will begin sharply 30 minutes after your class start time.
6. When you are done, you will submit the Access file through a script on your desktop,
sign on the instruction paper and waiting for your lecturer’ instruction before leaving
the room.

How the submission script works:

1. You will double click on the submission script on your desktop; the script is probably
named “ISYS2109 Student Submission”.
2. The script will prompt you to enter “campus-group number” using this format:
a. For Saigon: SGS-Gxx, where xx is their group number, such as SGS-G01
b. For Hanoi: HN-Gxx, where xx is their group number, such as HN-G01
c. Notes: You must enter in this format, if not then it will not work and you
need to start over again.
3. Then the script will prompt you to enter your student ID.
4. Then the script will create Z:// network drive and a folder with the name of the
student ID and put it under the parent folder of campus-group number above.
5. You will submit your file by dropping (or copy) it into the folder. Once you submit
your file, you cannot view or open it again. To resubmit it, you need to change the
file name and drop into the Z:// folder again.
