Good afternoon my dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

our prayers for them that God may shower upon them the graces as
they begin their new life together. Let us all be witnesses in this
momentous event in the life of Riza and Jeff.

Processional

Wedding March…

With all these ends, we now prepare ourselves for this most sublime
worship of God and raise our voices in praise as we join Rev. Fr. Eric
Bobis, our Mass Presider.

Entrance Hymn:

Please rise and sing the Entrance song.

Fr. Eric: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and
of the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen.

Fr. Eric: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love
of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit
be with you all.

All: And with your spirit.

Fr. Eric: Coming together as one family in faith, hope

and love, let us honor and give thanks to the
Lord for the love that he has bestowed on Riza
and Jeff. May the Lord the make their love
grow, and help them forge a future for that
love. As one people of God, let us altogether
now examine ourselves, acknowledging our

1
faults, and trying to see how much have we
responded to His call of unity and love.

All: I confess to Almighty God and to you, my brothers

and sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts
and in my words, in what I have done and in what I
failed to do,

And, striking their breast, they say:

Through my fault, through my fault, through my most

grievous fault;

Therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the

Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.

Fr. Eric: May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our
sins, and bring us to everlasting life.

All: Amen.

Fr. Eric: Lord, have mercy.

All: Lord, have mercy.

Fr. Eric: Christ, have mercy.

All: Christ, have mercy.

Fr. Eric: Lord, have mercy.

All: Lord, have mercy.

2
Gloria
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will.
We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give
you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God,
almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb

Father. Amen.

OPENING PRAYER

Fr. Eric: Let us pray…

Almighty God, hear our prayer for Riza and Jeff, who
have come here today to be united in the sacrament
of marriage. Increase their faith in you and in each
other, and through them bless your Church with
Christian children. We ask this through our Lord Jesus
Christ, forever and ever.

All: Amen.

LITURGY OF THE WORD

First Reading Tobit 8:5-7

Sarah got up so that they could pray together and ask God for
his protection. Then Tobias prayed: God of our ancestors, you
are worthy of praise. May your name be honored forever and
ever by all your creatures in heaven and on earth.

You created Adam and gave him his wife Eve to be his helper
and support. They became the parents of the whole human race.
You said, It is not good for man to live alone. I will make a
suitable helper for him. Lord, I have chosen Sarah because it is
right, not because I lusted for her. Please be merciful to us and
grant that we may grow old together.

The word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

3
RESPONSORIAL PSALM PS 71:1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 15-17

R. The Lord is compassionate toward all his works.

The LORD is gracious and merciful,

slow to anger and of great kindness.
The LORD is good to all
and compassionate toward all his works.

R. The Lord is compassionate toward all his works.

Let all your works give you thanks, O LORD,

and let your faithful ones bless you.
The eyes of all look hopefully to you
and you give them their food in due season.

R. The Lord is compassionate toward all his works.

The LORD is just in all his ways

and holy in all his works.
The LORD is near to all who call upon him,
to all who call upon him in truth.

R. The Lord is compassionate toward all his works.

SECOND READING 1 COR 13:4-13

A Reading from the Letter of Paul to the Corinthians:

Brothers and sisters:

Love is patient, love is kind.
It is not jealous, it is not pompous,
it is not inflated, it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests,
it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails.

If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing;
if tongues, they will cease;
if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing.
For we know partially and we prophesy partially,

4
but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.
When I was a child, I used to talk as a child,
think as a child, reason as a child;
when I became a man, I put aside childish things.
At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror,
but then face to face.
At present I know partially;
then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.
So faith, hope, love remain, these three;
but the greatest of these is love.

The Word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION

ALLELUIA

Commentator: Please all stand for the Gospel Acclamation.

Fr. Eric: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

Fr. Eric: A reading from the holy Gospel according to John.

All: Glory to you, O Lord.

Gospel Reading John 15:9-12

9
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my
love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I
have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told
you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be
complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

Fr. Eric: The Gospel of the Lord.

All: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Commentator: Please be seated for the homily

Apostles Creed

I I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born
of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God
from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he
came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the
Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under
Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the
third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in
glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no
end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who
proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the
Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one

Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the
resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

newly married couple in our Christian
community: Mr. and Mrs. Jeffer and Rizaline
Esteba. Let us acknowledge them as husband

Commentator: Please stand for the prayers of the faithful.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

Fr. Eric: Dearly beloved, let us now pray for the

Church and for our newly wedded couple
whose marriage reflects here union with
Christ.

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

1. For the Holy Church spread all over the world, for the Pope,
Bishops and Priest, that they may faithfully preach Jesus teaching of
love and peace. Let us pray to the Lord.

2. For leaders in the government, and ruler of every nation in the

world. That may adhere to our Lord’s teaching of Christians service,
and be instrument of unity. Let us pray to the Lord.

3. For the suffering and those in trials of affliction that they may find
hope and consolation in Jesus. Let us pray to the Lord.

4. For their parents, that the Lord may reward them for the care and
understanding they have showed upon their children. And that they
may be a source of inspiration and guidance. Let us pray to the Lord.

10
5. For those who have joined in life with Riza and Jeff, their brothers
and sisters, relatives and friends, and all of us here present in this
gathering that they may remain as source of encouragement to them.
Let us pray to the Lord.

Fr. Eric: Almighty, eternal God, look down with

favor upon your servants. Grant them to
remain faithful to you and to one another.
At the end of long and well-spent life,
reward them with eternal happiness
together with their children and with all
those who love them. Through Christ our
Lord.

All: Amen

Commentator: Please be seated for the Offertory Procession.

(After the offertory)

Commentator: May we request the couple to kneel for the

laying of the veil and cord.

Commentator: Veil sponsors, please come forward. The veil is

the symbol of God’s presence. Just like the
cloud that overshadows journeyers in times of
weariness in a dessert, so does God’s love
confort us in times of trials. Its whiteness
reflects the purity and simplicity of God’s
presence among us.

Commentator: Cord sponsors, please come forward. The cord is

the symbol of God’s faithfulness to his Church.
Let this symbol be a sign of yur fidelity and
commitment to one another. Just like the way
Christ love his Church, so let the same
unconditional love reign in your marriage life.

11
LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

Fr. Eric: Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation, for
through your goodness we have received the
bread we offer you: fruit of the earth and work
of human hands, it will become for us the bread
of life.

All: Blessed be God for ever.

Fr. Eric: Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation, for
through your goodness we have received the
wine we offer you: fruit of the vine and work of
human hands, it will become our spiritual drink.

All: Blessed be God for ever.

Fr. Eric: Pray, brethren (brothers and sisters),

that my sacrifice and yours may be
acceptable to God, the almighty Father.

All: May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands

for the praise and glory of his name, for our
good and the good of all his holy Church.

Commentator: Please stand.

PRAYER OVER THE GIFTS

Fr. Eric: Lord, accept our sufferings for this newly-

married couple Riza and Jeff. By your love and
providence you have brought them together,
now bless them all the day of their married life.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.

PREFACE

Fr. Eric: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

12
Fr. Eric: Lift up your hearts.

All: We lift them up to the Lord.

Fr. Eric: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

All: It is right and just.

Fr. Eric: Father, all powerful and ever-living God, we do

well always and everywhere to give you thanks.
By this sacrament your grace unites man and
woman in an unbreakable bond of love and
peace. You have designed the chaste love of
husband and wife for the increase of both of the
human family and of your own family born in
baptism.

You are the loving Father of the world of

nature; you are the loving Father of the new
creation of grace. In Christian marriage you
bring together the two orders of creation:
nature’s gift of children enriches the world and
your grace enriches also your Church. Through
Christ the choirs of angels and all the saints
praise and worship your glory.

May our voices blend with theirs as we join in

their unending hymn of praise without end we
acclaim:

Sanctus (sung) Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of host, heaven and
earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the
highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name
of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

CANON II

Fr. Eric: You are indeed Holy, O Lord,

the fount of all holiness.
Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
by sending down your Spirit upon them
like the dewfall, so that they may become
for us the Body and  Blood of our Lord
Jesus Christ.

13
At the time he was betrayed and entered
willingly into his Passion, he took bread
and, giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to
his disciples, saying:

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,

FOR THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL BE
GIVEN UP FOR YOU.

In a similar way, when supper was ended,

he took the chalice and, once more giving
thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying:

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK

FROM IT, FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF
MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND
ETERNAL COVENANT, WHICH WILL BE
POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY
FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.DO THIS
IN MEMORY OF ME.

Fr. Eric: The mystery of faith.

Commentator: Please rise.

All: We proclaim your Death, O Lord,

and profess your Resurrection
until you come again. (to be sung)

Fr. Eric: Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial

of his Death and Resurrection, we offer
you, Lord, the Bread of life and the Chalice
of salvation, giving thanks that you have
held us worthy to be in your presence
and minister to you. Humbly we pray that,
partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ,
we may be gathered into one by the Holy
Spirit.

Remember, Lord, your Church,

spread throughout the world, and bring
her to the fullness of charity, together
with Francis, our Pope and Rolando, our
Bishop and all the clergy.

Remember also our brothers and sisters

14
who have fallen asleep in the hope of the
resurrection, and all who have died in
your mercy: welcome them into the light
of your face. Have mercy on us all, we
pray,
that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother
of God, with the blessed Apostles, and all
the Saints who have pleased you
throughout the ages, we may merit to be
coheirs to eternal life, and may praise and
glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.

Fr. Eric: Through him, and with him, and in him,

O God, almighty Father, in the unity of the
Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours,
forever and ever.

All: Amen.

Communion Rite

Fr. Eric: At the Savior’s command and formed by

the Divine teaching we dare to say:

Ama Niamo…

Fr. Eric: Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil,

graciously grant peace in our days,
that, by the help of your mercy, we may
be always free from sin and safe from all
distress, as we await the blessed hope
and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

All: For the kingdom, the power and the glory are
yours now and forever.

NUPTIAL BLESSSING

Fr. Eric: My dear friends, let us turn to the Lord and pray
that he will bless with His grace, Riza, now
married to Jeff, and that through the sacrament
of the body and blood of Christ, He will unite in
love the couple He has joined in this Holy Bond.
Holy Father, creator of the universe, maker of

15
man and woman in your likeness, source of
blessing for married life.

We humbly pray to you for this woman, who

today is united with her husband, in this
Sacrament of Marriage. May your fullest
blessing come upon Riza and Jeff, so that they
may together rejoice in your gift of married love
and enrich your Church with their children.
Lord, may they both praise you when they are
happy and turn to you in their sorrows. May
they be glad that you help them in their work
and know that you are with them in their need.
May they pray to you in the community of the
church and be your witnesses in the world. May
they reach old age in the company of their
friends and come at last to the kingdom of
heaven. We ask these through Christ our Lord.

Commentator: Amen.

SIGN OF PEACE

Fr. Eric: Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your

Apostles: Peace I leave you, my peace I
give you; look not on our sins, but on the
faith of your Church, and graciously grant
her peace and unity in accordance with
your will. Who live and reign for ever and
ever.

All: Amen.

Fr. Eric: The peace of the Lord be with you always.

All: And with your spirit.

Fr. Eric: Let us offer each other the sign of peace.

(Agnus Dei) Kordero kan Diyos

Fr. Eric: Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who

takes away the sins of the world. Blessed
are those called to the supper of the Lamb.

16
All: Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter
under my roof, but only say the word and my
soul shall be healed.

COMMUNION HYMN

Commentator: (Removal of veil, cord and ribbon)… May I request the

secondary sponsors to remove the veil, cord and
ribbon from the couple.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION

Commentator: Please all rise.

Fr. Eric: Let us pray…

Lord, in your love you have given us this
Eucharist to unite us with one another and with
you. As you have made Riza and Jeff, one in this
sacrament of marriage and in sharing of the one
bread and one cup, so now make them one in
love for each other. We ask this through Christ
our Lord.

All: Amen.

CONCLUDING RITE

Fr. Eric: Riza and Jeff, now that you have received the
Holy Sacrament of Matrimony I admonish you to
remain faithful to one another. Riza, love your
husband and be a good wife; persevere in faith
and love and holiness. Jeff, love your wife as
Christ loves His Church and live with her in the
holy fear of the Lord.

Final Blessing

Fr. Eric: The Lord be with you

All: And with your spirit.

Fr. Eric: May God the eternal Father keep you steadfast in
your love.

All: Amen

17
Fr. Eric: May you have children to bless you, friends to
console you and may you live in peace with all
people.

All: Amen

Fr. Eric: May the peace of Christ dwell in your home. May
the angels of God protect it and may the Holy
family of Nazareth be its model and inspiration.

All: Amen

Fr. Eric: May almighty God bless you, the Father, the Son
and the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen

Fr. Eric: The Mass is ended, let us go in the Peace and

Love of the Holy Spirit.

All: Thanks be to God.
