Editorial

Mesmo com inúmeras adversidades, nossa vontade não esmorece. Seguimos, sistematicamente,
renovando nossas energias para fazermos mais e melhor pela Educação e por nosso alunado doente.
Assim, uma situação vivida por Madre Teresa, certamente nos fortalecerá para continuarmos focados
em nosso propósito.

“Seja apenas uma gota no meio do oceano, mas uma gota limpa.
Em 1979, ao voltar da Noruega após o recebimento do Prêmio Nobel da Paz, a Madre Teresa de Calcutá
passou pela casa humilde das Missionárias da Caridade em Roma, onde um jornalista lhe fez uma pergunta
provocadora:
– Madre, a senhora tem setenta anos. Quando a senhora morrer, o mundo vai ser como antes. O que mudou
depois de tanto esforço?
A Madre Teresa então lhe respondeu:
– Veja, eu nunca pensei que poderia mudar o mundo. Eu só tentei ser uma gota de água limpa em que pudesse
brilhar o amor de Deus. Você acha pouco?
O repórter não conseguiu responder. No silêncio de escuta e emoção que tinha surgido, a Madre Teresa
retomou a palavra e pediu ao repórter:
– Tente ser você também uma gota limpa e, assim, seremos dois. Você é casado?
– Sim, madre.
– Peça também à sua esposa, e assim seremos três. Tem filhos?
– Três filhos, madre.
– Peça também aos seus três filhos e assim seremos seis.

É uma lição extremamente simples e prática. Para torná-la realidade, basta a vontade.”

Even with countless adversities, our will does not fade. We, systematically, renew our energies to do more and better for Education and
our sick pupils. Thus, a situation experienced by Mother Teresa will surely strengthen us to remain focused on our purpose.

“Just be a drop in the middle of the ocean, but a clean drop.

In 1979, upon returning from Norway after receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, Mother Teresa of Calcutta passed the humble
house of the Missionaries of Charity in Rome, where a journalist asked her a provocative question:
- Mother, you are seventy years old. When you die, the world will be as before. What has changed after so much effort?
Mother Teresa then answered him:
-See, I never thought I could change the world. I just tried to be a drop of clean water that could shine the love of God. Do
you think it is little?
The reporter could not answer. In the silence of listening and emotion that had arisen, Mother Teresa took up the word
and asked the reporter:
- Try to be you also a clean drop and so we will be two. Are you married?
- Yes, mother.
- Ask your wife, too, and we'll be three. Have children?
- Three children, mother.
- Ask your three children, too, and we will be six.

It is an extremely simple and practical lesson. To make it a reality, the will is enough.”

Nos dias 11 e 12 de abril de 2019 aconteceu o 4º DO CONGRESSO DO ESTADO DE SÃO PAULO NO

APOIO AO ESCOLAR EM TRATAMENTO DE SAÚDE, em parceria com o governo estadual. Foi uma
oportunidade de intercâmbio entre professores daquele estado e de outras localidades dentro e fora

On April 11 and 12, 2019, the 4th SÃO PAULO STATE CONGRESS FOR THE SUPPORT OF STUDENTS IN HEALTH TREATMENT, in partnership with
the state government. It was an opportunity for exchanges between teachers from that state and from other locations within and outside Brazil. For

O 10O ENCONTRO NACIONAL SOBRE ATENDIMENTO ESCOLAR HOSPITALAR se realizou na cidade de

Salvador (Bahia) no período entre 15 e 17 de maio de 2019. Houve a participação do Ministério da
Educação debatendo questões específicas do atendimento escolar ao doente. Para saber mais, contate a

The 10TH BRAZILIAN NATIONAL MEETING ON HOSPITAL BASED EDUCATION took place in the city of Salvador (Bahia) from May 15 to 17, 2019.
It counted with the participation of the Ministry of Education discussing specific issues of school care to the patient. To know more, contact Profa.

A quarta edição do CONGRESSO INTERNACIONAL DA REDE LATINO-AMERICANA E DO CARIBE PELO

DIREITO DE EDUCAÇÃO DE CRIANÇAS E JOVENS DOENTES (REDLACEH) aconteceu nos dias 17 e 18 de maio
de 2019, nas dependências do Parlamento Latino Americano na cidade do Panamá. Foi um evento muito
importante uma vez que os parlamentares estiveram presentes nas atividades do congresso, bem como
a REDLACEH participou de uma das reuniões do Parlamento no dia anterior ao início do evento.

The fourth edition of the INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF THE LATIN AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN NETWORK FOR THE RIGHT OF EDUCATION OF SICK
CHILDREN AND YOUNGSTERS (REDLACEH) took place on May 17-18, 2019, at the premises of the Latin American Parliament in Panama City. It was
a very important event as the parliamentarians were present at the congress activities, and REDLACEH attended one of the parliamentary

A partir de março/2019, foi estabelecido contato com a Profa. Maria Trindade Rodriguez
(mtrodri10@yahoo.es) da Universidad Nacional de Educacíon (http://www.une.edu.pe) em Lima/Perú
para o intercâmbio de experiências na formação docente para o ambiente escolar hospitalar.
From March 2019, it was established contact with Ms. Maria Trindade Rodriguez (mtrodri10@yahoo.es) lecturer from the Education
National University (http://www.une.edu.pe) in the city of Lima/Perú for the exchange of experiences in teacher training for the hospital school
environment.

A Profa. Claudinéia Maria Vischi Avanzini sob a orientação da Profa. Dra. Maurilane de Souza
Biccas, defendeu no dia 8 de julho de 2019 a tese A EDUCAÇÃO DE CRIANÇAS EM HOSPITAIS: A
EXPERIÊNCIA DA CIDADE DE CURITIBA (PARANÁ) NA ASSOCIAÇÃO DE PROTEÇÃO À INFÂNCIA DR. RAUL
CARNEIRO, 1988-2002, apresentada ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Faculdade de
Educação da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). O trabalho apresenta a trajetória da implantação do
atendimento escolar ao doente em uma instituição específica do estado do Paraná. Parabéns!
Ms. Claudinéia Maria Vischi Avanzini under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Maurilane de Souza Biccas, defended on July 8, 2019 the thesis
THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN IN HOSPITALS: THE CURITIBA CITY (PARANÁ/BRAZIL) EXPERIENCE IN THE ASSOCIATION DR. RAUL CARNEIRO, 1988-2002,
presented to the Post-Graduate Program in Education, Faculty of Education, University of São Paulo (USP). The thesis details the trajectory of the
implantation of hospital schooling in a specific institution of Paraná state. Congratulations!

EDUCACIONAL, voltado para profissionais de educação, e tendo como foco o debate sobre Educação,
Saúde e Inclusão. O encontro, agendado para o dia 10 de agosto de 2019 é organizado pela equipe de
Pedagogia do hospital e acontece ao longo de todo o dia (das 8h às 18h), na própria instituição. As

The Boldrini Children's Center (Campinas / SP), hosts the event THE HOSPITAL AS EDUCATIONAL SPACE, aimed at education professionals,
