Before doing the activity, videos of news reports, were presented to the
class. These narrated the incident where a cyclist was shot, and Top Gear, wrongfully
accused Mr. Punzalan as the culprit. This stood as example of how the use of social PETALLAR
media affects the spread of information, the role of users or netizens, and their
liabilities. Then each group was tasked to answer questions related to the incident.

After doing so, the group was tasked to do a vlog, video blog, showing the answers
to the questions creatively and the shooting place allowed is limited around school premises. At first, the
group thought of a concept. Among the choices were a mukbang, where the group will eat while talking
about the incident; a 73-question-vogue inspired vlog, where the group will have a school tour and the
videographer will ask questions in a casual way; and a beer-pong style vlog, where the group will play
coke-pong and under the cups are questions which will be answered for every shoot of a ping-pong ball.
After deliberating, the group settled in the 73-question-vogue inspired vlog, since a lot of their classmates
chose mukbang and coke-pong would be costly to achieve. Also, the group liked the idea of showcasing the beauty of their school
while answering the questions and maintaining their identity as students who are users of social media. They thought that this is fit to
the purpose of the vlog where students like them can easily understand and relate to.
First, the group formulated the questions and the flow of events for the vlog. They also planned the track they'll follow around
the school, from the start until the end. They chose to start at the stairs of the grade 12 SHS building, then to the SHS grounds, and
lastly, to the quadrangle. Since the vlog required a continuous take, the group struggled to maintain the flow of events without cutting
the video. Also, they discovered the disadvantage of having to shoot inside school premises, a noisy environment caused by students
found all around the place. But still, the group didn't change the plan, they continued vlogging until they got the perfect take.
Finally, they produced a vlog that is 5 minutes and 50 seconds long, and they sent this via email to their MIL teacher. They are
satistied with the content and the aesthetic of the video, incorporating their answers in the first activity. The group learned the purpose
of these activities and why it is important to understand and know our role as users of social media. They hope that people who'll get
the chance to view their vlog would take time to watch it and be able to recognize the lessons that they learned throughout the vlog.

REFLECTION/REALIZATION/SYNTHESIS:

I learned that as social media users, we should be responsible enough to use it. Even though it doesn’t look like a big deal, it
can affect a lot of people for a lot also uses the internet. I should be thinking for every move I make in social media websites, for I am
wasting the opportunity given to me for being able to have this luxury of easy access to information if I don’t utilize this rightfully.
