I. RATIONALE:
Well-managed municipal authorities and a constructive relationship with citizens play
a vital strategic role in the country’s further social, economic and political development. Improving the society needs visionary leaders whose commitment, dedication and proper values are internalized. Leaders who allow people to spark one another and create synergism. Leaders who focus on balanced quality management. Leaders whose leadership is anchored on transparency, accountability and excellence. It also entails dynamic and active participation of every member of the community. Everybody will be moving forward together, no one will be left behind. Sharing of responsibilities, networking and empowerment of every citizen must be evident to achieve progress. All these are embodied in the thrust of the new administration in the TEACH Mainit Program. TEACH-DAD is a comprehensive development program of the Local Government Unit of Mainit that will direct them towards sustainable development .It envisions to undergo extensive resource generation to strengthen local self-governance. It is a powerful tool which aims to empower local leaders to achieve excellence in local governance. TEACH-DAD is a program which dreams to improve the quality of life of the Mainitnons and of making Mainit a beautiful place to live in. This is achieved through a more participative community where every citizen is mindful of their responsibility. From them emanate the value of personal discipline, integrity and commitment. Guided by the towns mantra, “ISA KA DAMGO, ISA KA LUNGSOD, ISA KA DAYAN SA KALAMBU-AN,” TEACH-DAD values constituent’s delight by continuously providing them excellent service and strong leadership towards building a more vibrant and flourishing Mainit. TEACH-DAD stands for T- Tourism and Technology, E- Education and Environment, A- Agriculture, Aquaculture and Livelihood, C-Culture, Values and Livelihood, H- Health and Other Services, D - Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, A-Attaining Sustainable Peace and Development, D – Drug Awareness and Prevention.
