Human mind
- Considered as one of the GREATEST MYSTERIES IN LIFE.
- It is the SEAT OF THOUGHT, IDEAS, EMOTIONS, PERCEPTIONS and MEMORIES.

Will
 This expression of desire, choice, determination and action is the product of the will.
 Will DETERMINES the CHOICE, ACTION or BEHAVIOR of a person in a given situation, ACCORDING TO his/her SET
OF VALUES.

Intellect
 Used in the PURSUIT OF TRUTH.
 Makes us REALIZE ABOUT THE TRUTH ABOUT GOOD LIFE.

Minds/Intellect aims for TRUTH and Desire/Will aims for the GOOD.

a. Respect – the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of other PEOPLES: RIGHTS, FEELINGS and EXISTENCE.


b. Service to others – the SELFLESS UNCONDITIONAL HELP one can OFFER TO OTHER PEOPLE,
such as family members, friends, neighbors and other members of the community.
c. Empathy – PUTTING ONESELF in the shoes of others. This means UNDERSTANDING OTHER
PEOPLE’s FEELINGS.
d. Equality – recognizes that ONE IS NOT INFERIOR OR SUPERIOR FROM ANOTHER no matter the
nationality, gender and economic background.

Peer Pressure
 Comes usually from people who surrounds you such as your classmates and friends in school.
 When thoughts, words, actions and decisions are BEING CONTROLLED and INFLUENCED BY YOUR GROUP.

Natural Law
 The theory of ethics in human nature and the search for HUMAN HAPPINESS and FULFILLMENT.

Eternal Law
 The DIVINE MODEL which professes that GOD CREATED THE WORLD and the WORLD IS RULED BY GOD (Divine
Providence)
Conscience
 One’s PRACTICAL INTELLIGENCE AT WORK in a form of JUDGEMENT about the rightness or wrongness of actions.

Freedom
 One’s ability to respond to the call of neighbors who are in need, those who have less in the society.
 It is giving service not only to his family, but also to his fellowmen and his country in general.
 Genuine freedom does not mean doing anything you wish to do whenever and whichever way you want to do
things.

The Holy Bible

D. Major Prophets - These books were declared "major" because of the amount of text, and not because

E. Minor Prophets - The books of the major and Minor Prophets were considered to be part of the

B. Acts of the Apostles (Acts) – The book that RECOUNTS THE EARLY HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY AFTER
THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION of CHRIST. After the death of Jesus the Twelve Apostle began to
PREACH and MINISTER in variety of location. The ACTS relates some of their stories and depicts the
GROWTH of the Christian religion.

C. The Letters – also called the EPISTLES. This books were written by ST. PAUL that would be address to
various communities and deals with PHILOSOPHICAL AND SOCIAL ISSUES of the NEW CHRISTIANS.

unique book because it is the only New Testament Book TO FOCUS ENTIRELY ON PROPHETIC
EXPERIENCE. It use of vibrant symbolism is as also distinguishing characteristics.
