brain stores a lot of information, the CPU is also the store - house of all the information in the
computer.

COMPUTER LABORATORY RULES
1. DO NOT BRING FOOD OR DRINK INSIDE THE LABORATORY. – Computers operate using
electricity. The items inside them are delicate, so keep the computers away from any food or
drink.
2. KEEP THE WORKSTATION AREA NEAT. – This maintains the capability of the computers
and it also helps us learn better.
3. DO NOT CHANGE SETTINGS. – This is to avoid technical problems that may delay us from
finishing our work.
4. SURF SAFELY. – Visit only the teacher-chosen websites. Never give personal information
online.
5. LOG OFF. – Our account is ours. This is to keep our files safe.
6. WORK QUITELY. – Working quietly will help us focus on the tasks at hand.
8. SAVE OFTEN. – This is to avoid any file loss in case there is an unexpected power
interruption.
9. KEEP OUR FILES ORGANZED. – This is to help us track all our finished and unfinished
works.
10. PRINT ONLY WHEN NECESSARY. – All resources are limited. Print only works that are
finished and ready for printing.
1. Our hands should be clean and dry before using our computers.
2. Place our computers in a clean, cool, and dry place.
3. Keep food or drink Wy from our computers. Food crumbs can invite insects and bacteria. If
liquid is accidentally spilled onto our computers, we call an adult.
4. Keep our computers clean at all times, especially the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Use
clean, damp cloth to clean the external parts of our computers.
5. Handle our computer devices with care.
Let us remember:
1. The monitor should be slightly below our eye level and arm’s length away. The view of the
screen should prevent us from bending our necks.
2. Use hand-friendly designed keyboard to minimize our sore wrists.
3. Use a comfortable chair that has back and foot support. Place a pillow behind our lower backs
or a footrest for our adjustments.
4. Practice proper posture. Our arms should lay close to our bodies.
