Entrepreneurship education provides a wide range of

opportunities for students to learn about entrepreneurship and
gain valuable experience. It can also ignite students’
entrepreneurial mindset and help them become more confident
in making decisions, particularly in choosing a career path such
as entrepreneurship. Many actions have been taken by
academic authorities to cultivate student interest in the
entrepreneurship field, such as adopting more suitable methods
of teaching and learning in school and adapting to the digital
era. Hence, the integration of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)
techniques has been used in delivering Entrepreneurship
Education. This paper discusses how the Universiti Kebangsaan
Malaysia (UKM) integrates the 4IR technique in presenting
entrepreneurship education to UKM students in order to
motivate them to venture into the entrepreneurship field.

This study aimed to develop theoretical framework for STEM

teaching strategies in school setting. The paper clarified what
the worldwide leaders and educators’ beliefs, focuses, and
actions of STEM education; what the conceptions of STEM
education should be provided for teachers; Suggested STEM
education teaching in aspect of practicing knowledge in real
world through STS approach, concept of technology and
engineering reserved for STEM education; the implementation
of Yuenyong (2006)’ s STS approach for enhancing students’
applying scientific and other knowledge for designing the
solutions in real-world problems. Based on these literatures,
this paper will propose the practical idea of STEM education
teaching approach which integration key concepts among
problem based, project based, inquiry, design, and a real world
problem solving as STS. The paper, therefore, propose the
theoretical framework of STEM education teaching approach as
inquiry from the context based. The teaching approach consists of 7 stages. These include (1)
Identification of social issues, (2) Identification of potential solution, (3) Need for knowledge, (4)
Decision-making, (5) Development of prototype or product, (6) Test and evaluate the Solution, and (7)

STEM agenda is currently a global agenda in which passionate
educators are getting more concerned with the declining
performance by the students in secondary schools and
universities. Various initiative supported by the government,
states, universities and schools have its aim and mission solely
to nurture greater interest and understanding in science and
mathematics among students in primary and secondary
schools. However, it is undeniably inevitable that STEM
education would pose 1001 issues, tensions and challenges. All
concerns expressed by parties involved in STEM education viz
students, teachers and parents need to be addressed. Thus, it is
our responsibilities to develop our nation through pioneering
and championing STEM disciplines.

The advent of globalization and the exodus of global citizens to

ASEAN nations motivate people of these nations to learn
English to effectively communicate and exchange ideas, join
activities or even to fulfill official duties. Informed by a mixed
method of investigation, this research paper examines the
content of the American TV Series Crime Scene Investigation:
New York (CSI: NY) to identify the words with highest absolute
frequencies, words with highest relative frequencies or
keywords (e.g. Scott and Tribble, 2006), and n-grams or
clusters of words (e.g. Bednarek, 2011) used by police officers
in the TV series while doing their jobs. Keywords were
identified from the comparison of the CSI: NY TV corpus against
the British National Corpus (BNC) and computing their log
likelihood (LL) values of words. At a cut-off LL value of 100.00,
71 keywords were identified and further divided into four
themes: (1) informal spoken language use (N=26, 36.62%),
addressing oneself, other people or things (N=25, 35.21%), crime scene (N=15, 21.13%), and
interviewing suspect, witness, or other persons (N=5, 7.04%) by searching the concordance of each
keyword to view the keywords in context (KWIC) using the software AntConc (Anthony, 2019).
Pedagogically, the keywords and keywords in context (KWIC) have strong implications since the
words with the highest absolute frequencies, and the n-grams are useful in preparing learning
materials for police students and officers who are members of the expanding circle of English speakers
(Kachru, 2006).

ABSTRACT

The present study is aimed to investigate the potential influence of agroforestry to the various rice
field predatory arthropods. Two locations of rice field were selected around the agroforestry
possessing different types of agroforestry, simple agroforestry and complex agroforestry. This
research was conducted at a village in Ciamis District, West Java, Indonesia. The data were collected by
means of containment supported by the use of an aspirator modified from 60 sample plots for each
location. Systematically located, the rice fields were divided into two blocks at each research site. The
observation was conducted since the beginning of the first planting period, at 24 November 2016. The
observation was continued during the planting period and ended at the last week of the second
planting period, at around 10 August 2017. The results showed that the existence of the agroforestry
area around the rice fields showed significant influence to the species diversity of leafhoppers in the
fields adjacent to the agroforestry at both kinds of agroforestry. Meanwhile, the result of the research
of the site which was not adjacent to the agroforestry (about 130 m distant from the agroforestry) now
shows the significant influence of the existence of agroforestry to various rice field predatory
arthropods, such as rice field leafhoppers at the two sites possessing different kinds of agroforestry).
At the research site, located near the agroforestry area, the distance of rice fields and the agroforestry
did not cause any significant differences to the various predatory arthropods named leafhoppers in the
rice fields. Meanwhile, when the research was conducted in the rice fields quite distant from the
agroforestry, the distance of the rice fields and the agroforestry caused the difference of the various
rice field predatory arthropods in the rice fields.

Abstract
In the past decade, the development of sharia financial institutions in Indonesia has
continued to increase, although the number of market shares still ranges from 5% - 6%
(OJK, 2019). One of the popular Islamic financial institutions is Baitul Mal Wattamwil
(BMT) or savings and loan cooperatives and Islamic finance, which has an important role
for micro-business communities. Practically, many of these BMTs have experienced
bankruptcy, especially in Lampung. This study aims to examine the causes of the many
BMTs in Lampung Province that have collapsed. Limitation of problems includes (1)
government regulations on BMT; (2) BMT risk management; and (3) knowledge and skills
of the related elements. The method used in this study was a qualitative method using
questionnaires distributed to BMT actors to obtain valid information regarding the
operations whether still surviving or have gone out of business. Furthermore, interview
techniques were conducted on 30 respondents consisting of elements of BMT perpetrators
who still survived; have gone bankrupt; customers; and related government, to confirm
the accuracy of the data obtained from the results of questionnaires. The results of surveys
and interviews indicate: inequity government regulations on BMT perpetrators; bad risk
management patterns; and inadequate knowledge and skills of the supervisors,
administrators and employees of BMT regarding sharia financial institutions are the main
factors in the number of BMTs in Lampung unable to operate anymore. Therefore,
improvements in various lines and BMT devices should be done immediately so that the
BMT management system becomes better in near future.

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the improvement of mathematical problem solving abilities between
classes using Brain-based Learning and classes using direct learning. This study was a quasi-
experimental study with a Pre-test - posttest non-equivalent group design. The population of this
research involved all seventh grade students of one public schools in the Ciamis Regency. The samples
were selected purposively at which class VII D was taught by Brain-based Learning and VIIE class was
given direct learning. The research instrument was a test of mathematical problem solving ability that
was distributed to the sample at the pretest and posttest to obtain a normalized gain value. Data
analysis of normalized gain values was carried out using the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed
that students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the Brain-based Learning were better than
students who used the Direct Learning. The recommendation of this study is that, at the elaboration
stage, there should be various sources that can be accessed by students.

Abstract

This quantitative study investigated factors that contributed to English language teachers’ anxiety to
speak in English as a foreign language in a language classroom. The study drew upon 210 in-service
EFL teachers’ experience across nineteen provinces in Indonesia. These teacher participants were
asked to complete 32 items of Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS). Statistical data
analysis using factor analysis, ANOVA correlation and regression were performed using SPSS software.
The findings revealed four contributing factors to in-service EFL teachers’ anxiety to speak in the target
language during teaching practice, including communication apprehension, negative attitude toward
the English class, high teachers’ expectation about people language learning, and fear of negative
evaluation. Differences among the factors were calculated and recommendations were offered in
reference to the findings.

Abstract

EFL learners have been familiar with the practice of English personal titles /EPTs (Mr, Mrs, Miss, Sir,
Ma’am, Mom/Mum) under cultural negotiation in Indonesia. It’s been the phenomenon because there
seem to be a collision with what it is supposed to be in English culture. The purpose of this study is to
clarify and verify how EPTs have been practiced for decades due to the fact that Indonesian and
English cultures don’t have something in common. This qualitative study implements content analysis
by means of analyzing English handouts, chats and texts in social media, as well as script deriving from
teacher-EFL students’ classroom interaction. The result reveals that the application of EPTs (Mr, Mrs,
Miss, Sir, Ma’am, Mom/Mum) have been negotiated in accordance with Indonesian culture. There is no
more difference between Mrs and Miss, Ma’am and Mom/Mum, and Mr and Sir. This has been
conducted beyond the awareness of how native speaker of English uses EPTs because there is an
assumption that learning English doesn’t include learning its culture and for most Indonesian
students, learning English as a foreign language is a matter of learning basic skills and linguistic
features. Thus, any further cultural encounter during learning English, particularly the practice of
EPTs, will be automatically switched to Indonesian culture.

Abstract
The current research discusses the encouragement to English as Foreign Language students to
implement a literary approach to making meaning of literary works. Among many approaches to
literary analysis, one of the approaches is considered appropriate to be encouraged to the EFL
students, called Reader-response Approach to Literary analysis. One of the consideration is that the
approach accommodates both the students’ self enjoyment to the literary works and the analysis and
evaluation to the authors’ intention in making the literary works. The present study aims at exploring
how the EFL Students are encouraged to implement Reader-response approach to literary analysis in
making meaning of short stories. By employing descriptive qualitative research method, the writer
carried out the study by analyzing students’ portfolio documents of their essays responding to two
literary works which belong to the literary genre of Prose. Ten students taking Literary Criticism
Subject at a private university in West Java participated in the current research. They were assigned to
read two short stories and make essays responding to the stories. In writing their response essays,
they were guided to implement Reader-response Approach to Literary Analysis. The study revealed
some findings. One of the findings showed that the students’ responses for the second assigned literary
work gained improvements from that of responses of the first literary work. From the findings of the
study, the writer draws some conclusion; one of which is that in writing responses to literary works, it
needs practice to write. The more the students practice, the better writing skill they get, therefore,
which means the more meaningful the response writing will be.

Abstract

Varied responses to decentralization policy issues after reform process have witnessed the process of
each regency achieving its utmost govermental objectives which still lead to problematic issues. This
study aims to investigate how health care decentralization is implemented in certain region in
Indonesia, seen from its aspects of authority, resources, and accessibility. The subjects of the study
included local regent, secretary of local government, chief of local house of representative and chair of
comission, chair of health care office, other coordinating sectors responsible for health services, as
well as local public figures. The emerging qualitative data covering views on the relevant issues were
analyzed by means of qualitative data treatment that led to data reduction, display, and interpretation.
Finding suggest that decentralization in health care has not met people’s expectation to get better local
income; has not triggered govermental innovation and creativity in enhancing local potentials, and
has been dependent on state budget; as well as has not get its self-funded local government to care for
health service. The study yet, suggests the local governments provide their minimal sufficient budget
for health care, needed facilities for health services and human resources.

Abstract

In general, adult learners tend to have different learning habits. They, unfortunately, have limitations
in long retention in sitting, handling the abundant businesses, being interested in things related to
their own needs, having little curiosity, and being more resistant to new changes or innovations. Thus,
this study aims to investigate how to overcome those learning problems. This action research involved
postgraduate students of Galuh University (N=41) in educational administration major. The cyclic
teaching steps, as Russdilt (1988, p. 2) suggested, cover four basic levels of learning evaluation that are
catered for solving those postgraduates’ inadequacies. Research results show that: 1). The use of adult
learning cycles can encourage all participants to learn to be active, fully engaged and enthusiastic in
the whole learning process; 2). The use of adult learning cycles can increase the intensity of
interaction between learning participants and lecturers, both during learning in the classroom or
outside the classroom through the WA Group media; 3). The use of the adult learning cycle can
increase the intensity of interaction among fellow participants, and share learning outcomes; 4). The
use of adult learning cycles is able to encourage participants to combine the experiences that have
been learned by participants, with new things learned through articles, so that the level of resistance
of citizens to learn about new things decreases; 5). The use of adult learning cycles can offer more
diverse materials in a single unit of time.

Abstract

The rise of violations of plagiarism ethics carried out by some people. They are lecturers and students
in the midst of tight and incessant DIKTI in making regulations concerning prevention and prevention
of plagiarism. The current of globalization brings us to see the world more broadly. The ease to access
across the internet world is as easy as turning your palms, internet access makes it easy for every
individual to talk, establish communication and look for things. Besides, it does not require expensive
fees and time long. However, if technological advances that continue to innovate, change and develop
every day is not balanced with the basis of ethics, and law enforcement, it will certainly be dangerous
for the younger generation. One of the things that is rife because of this technological progress is how
to avoid plagiarism. The young generation has also begun to shift in terms of ethics and nationalism, so
the spirit of nationalism that fosters ethics needs to be grown. If ethics have been established, it will be
embarrassing to do plagiarism. Problem Formulation is How to form anti-plagiarism character, Why
should Plagiarism in the Pancasila Perspective be enforced? The discussion of Pancasila which is the
basis of the state serves as a guideline for us to prevent young people from getting caught up in
plagiarism. We need to see and reflect on the four pillars of nationality in order to save our generation
from the threat of plagiarism, the four pillars are Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of
Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. The four pillars
are the basis of Indonesian unity fostering the spirit of nationalism by paying attention to ethics. When
ethics have been formed, there is shame from individuals who commit plagiarism or piracy.
Conclusion establishing Pancasila souls and values is important to be applied early for all Indonesian
youth to become a creative and innovative generation. Besides, formal institutions such as schools and
universities must provide a threat to those who commit plagiarism or copyright infringement. One of
them is conscious effort and planned to realize the learning atmosphere and learning process so that
students can effectively develop their potential, seek innovation, develop, and be able to channel their
potential.

Abstract

This research identifies and reviews the implementation of village innovation programs that can
encourage the development of local economic potential both natural resources and human resources
in Ciamis Regency. This study focuses more on Bangunharja village, Cisaga district, Ciamis regency as a
research setting. Actors or implementers and target groups of village innovation programs are used as
informants with a purposive sampling technique. After obtaining data through interviews, data
reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions are then carried out. We find that the
implementation of the Village Innovation Program in encouraging the development of the local
economy is not yet fully in accordance with the 3 pillars that must be considered in the
implementation of the program according to Jones (Agustino, 2017: 154-155). This can be seen from
the lack of capacity of the Village Innovation Implementation Team (TPID), the Bangunharja Village
Government, and the business group community, so that the implementation of innovation activities is
difficult to develop. In addition, the lack of assistance in the development of human resources and
entrepreneurship training as well as the lack of communication between the Village Innovation
Implementation Team and the business community groups were also obstacles. From these findings,
we recommend that coordination, communication, monitoring, and evaluation involve all stakeholders
directly, namely TPID, Village Government and the community. The Village Innovation Implementation
Team and the Village Government in analyzing and identifying potential local resources should look at
business development and community characteristics.

Abstract

The study is driven by the fact that most students of social science have low ability to
understand the social science concept, because of teachers’ traditional teaching strategies. The study
aims to investigate the level of effect of the three cooperative learning models, Think Pair Share (TPS),
Numbered Heads Together (NHT), and SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectual) on the
student ability to understand social science concept. This counter balanced quasi experimental study
involved seventh grade students of a high school in Cirebon, Indonesia, comprising three different
classes (A, N=32; B, N=32; C, N=32) of which each class was treated by different cooperative learning
models. Analysis of using the t-test indicated that there were different abilities to understand the
concept of social science among three group of students as effected by the three different strategies.
Think Pair Share (TPS) model indicated higher achievements than the Numbered Head Together
(NHT) model, and the Numbered Head Together (NHT) model was higher than SAVI model (Somatic,
Auditory, Visualization, Intelectual). The conclusion of this research is that the Think Pair Share (TPS)
type of the cooperative learning model is effective to increase students' ability to understand basic
concepts in analyzing the concept of Human Activity in Meeting Needs (scarcity and needs), Economic
Activities (Production, Distribution, Consumption, Demand and offers) on social studies subjects.
