CHP592 – FOX515 Access/Transport MUX

Course goal
This course provides a thorough and practical introduction to the FOX515 access and transport multi-
plexer. After the successful completion, the participants will be familiar with the architecture and the
most widely used interfaces and options of the FOX515. They will be able to configure and maintain the
equipment in a network.

— List the overall FOX515 architecture compo-
nents, applications, features and options
— Apply the FOX515 architecture components,
applications, features and options
— Apply the different options of access-
ing/managing the FOX515
— Configure the FOX515 with UCST Software
— Configure the PDH access and SDH transport
main features & interfaces
— Configure basic applications & features for
voice, data & teleprotection
— Configure basic Ethernet over PDH/SDH,
LAN/IP features & interfaces
— Summarize and interpret the maintenance
and alarm/status reporting functions

— PDH/SDH connectivity & traffic redundancy
— PDH/SDH synchronization
— Management communication
— Demonstration of network configuration
with FOXMAN-UN Network Management
System with its Networking Package
Course type
This is a face-to-face classroom training with
maximum 12 participants.
