COURSE DESCRIPTION

Computer Applications in Business is designed to introduce students to the world of computers and software applications. This instruction will provide them with a solid
foundation on which to build a strong and useful knowledge of Information Technology. Students through classroom lectures, application program demonstrations, and hands-on
lessons and exercises will learn how to use Microsoft Office applications, explore and examine the fundamentals of computer hardware and software. The class will also examine
the relationship between technology and society and interpret how computer technology can benefit businesses, government, and educational organizations. Students will
acquire skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

COURSE OUTCOMES
1. Identify MS Windows environment, networks and Internet connections.
2. Practice proper use and utilization of computer and Internet (Netiquettes)
3. Compose business correspondence, reports, and documents for meetings by processing written, oral, and numeric information by using MS Office Applications.
4. Create electronic spreadsheets for grading system, inventory system and payroll system.
5. Write formulas to perform calculations applied to grading system, inventory system and payroll system.
6. Design presentations by combining text, graphics, photos, video and animation.
7. Create professional-looking publications through arranging and aligning text, images, and other objects within a page.
