Dance is a painting that unfolds
in front of us; a mesmerizing, in-

Classical Ballet. Modern

Movement. Social Dance. Few, if
any, performing arts have more
diversity than dance.

The Next Step - Our New Future
Northern Plains Dance is ready: To move forward to a new facility with a highly functional interior. To maintain its
reputation as one of the best training and presenting organizations in the area for dance. To expand programs
for all ages and skills. To strengthen the financial underpinning that will seamlessly continue Northern Plains
Dance’s mission into the next decade and beyond.
WELCOME
Close your eyes and awaken your imagination. Envision walking into a space that is alive with activity; a line
of small children walks by you in the hallway on their tiptoes on their way to their first ballet class as older,
more advanced dancers stretch along the walls. A studio door opens and you catch a glimpse of adult
students tap dancing to “Give My Regards to Broadway”. From a second room, a group of hip hop students
leave their class, red-faced, smiling and breathless. Strains of classical music can be heard in the distance,
where a guest artist is rehearsing with students for an upcoming performance. You are greeted warmly by a
staff member.
The performing arts enliven not only individuals, but whole communities, by providing a catalyst
for economic and social revitalization, a common destination for people of diverse backgrounds, educational
opportunities for all ages, and an outlet for creative expression and personal growth.
