6. Finding expression in meaning,in functional written text and report and procedure simple
short essay to interact with surrounding environment

Basic Competence :

1.2 find expression in meaning and rhetoric steps in simple short essay using written style
in an accurate, fluent to interact with surrounding area in report and procedure text
I. Learning purpose :

At the end learning process, students are able to:

a. Make a simple short procedure text

11. Materi Pembelajaran

1. Vocabulary that related with report text : how, make, first, then, after that, finally

2. Sentences and its task sample :

a. first, plug the power cord into the power outlet

b. Finally, turn it off

3. Paragraph and its task

4. example of procedure text and the rhetoric steps teks

Goal - How to make kite
- Making Kite
- How to operate computer

Material - A bottle of milk


- A plate of rice
- A spoon of sugar
Equipment - A pan, spoon, wok, stove,
spatula, glue,etc

Steps
Using imperative sentence Attach a stand or handle
Verb + noun +adverb Cut the carrot into thin slices
Then,add 200 ml water
Stick the photo in the center of frame
The soup is ready to be serve

IV. Learning activity steps:

a. Preface activity

1. The students response to teacher’s questions to build clannish atmosphere


2. The students response to teacher’s questions about attendance
3. Active participating in learning process
4. The teacher gives some questions which related previous lesson with the next
subject
5. The teacher explains the learning purpose or basic competence that should be
achieved
6. The teacher gives the subject range and its assessment

b. Core Activity (Game first done=first out)

1. Students discuss about how to make an imperative procedure sentence with the
teacher
2. Students make 1 imperative sentence as the teacher will check, if correct the
student allow to go outside the class wait for the others, if wrong the rest
student will given an addition explanation ( this done with 5 sentence)
3. Students discuss the result with the teacher
4. Students make a simple short procedure text in free theme

c. Last Activity

a. Student listens to the node about subjects that learned by teacher


b. Student gives reflection/comment about the subject that already
comprehended, and please subject or not
c. Student are given structured task to strengthened the competence
d. Student listens to teacher’s expectations and advice
