Senate Page Program Opportunity!

Dear Constituents and Friends,

The 2020 Senate Page Program application is now available. Each year the Florida Senate
welcomes young students from across the state to participate in the Senate Page Program. This
program that has been a part of the Senate tradition for many years and provides an excellent
opportunity for young Floridians to take part in the legislative process during the 60-day regular
session.

I would like to extend this opportunity to students who are at least 15 years of age and will not
have reached their 19th birthday by the beginning of their scheduled week of service.

During their assigned week, Senate Pages will assist members of the Florida Senate by
distributing materials and messages, learn about the legislative process through a hands-on
approach, and experience a "mock session" in which students role-play as Senators and engage in
debating, discussing and voting on legislation. Senate pages will receive 40 hours of
community service or a $250 stipend, which will be mailed to them after they completed their
scheduled week.

Please complete and return the application promptly as assignment dates are made on a first-
come, first-serve basis. Students whose applications are returned early have a better chance of
obtaining the dates requested. Note that all applications must be received no later than
Tuesday, October 1, 2019.
