COMPUTING TRENDS &

TECHNOLOGIES

5G Network
 5G network / 5th generation network are the next generation
of mobile internet connectivity.
 It offers the fastest speeds and more reliable connections on
smartphones and other devices.
 5G network is expected to be norm soon, because of it’s
average speeds of download around 1GBps.
 It is a reliable wireless connection that doesn’t need an digital
box or router for you to connect cause it is already set on your
smart phones.
 5G networks are already starting to appear
and expected to launch across the world by
2020.
Digital Twins

 Digital twins is a representation of physical object and

system, behind this expanded technology are huge items
such as buildings, factories, cities and etc.
 The twin is constructed so that it can receive input from
sensors gathering data from a real-world counterpart.
 This allows the twin to simulate the physical object in real
time, in the process offering insights into performance and
potential problems.
 The twin could also be designed based on a
prototype of its physical counterpart, in
which case the twin can provide feedback as
the product is refined; a twin could even
serve as a prototype itself before any
physical version is built.
3D Printing
 It is a new agent in printing because it is a process of three
dimensional object from a computer aided design.
 3D printing techniques were considered suitable only for the
production of functional or aesthetic prototypes and a more
appropriate term for it was rapid prototype.
 3D printing encompasses many forms of technologies and
materials as 3D printing is being used in almost all industries
you could think of.
 It is a kind of printing that shows an identical
prototype of a thing without using heavy machines.
Some examples of 3D printing such as the
prosthetics, eye wear, designs and etc.
Robotics
 Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering and
science that includes mechanical engineering, electronic
engineering, information engineering, computer science, and
others.
 It’s forms IA and machines it is a branch of science that
creates tools for the proper use of technology.
 It can be under AI, but robotics is a way of creation that can
give a positivity to a robot to do limited commands such as in
household chores and a buddy to the law.
 Robotics is also in the field of computer science
and engineering because it contains an sensory
and program input that can be an branch of
artificial intelligence.
Quantum Computing
 Quantum computers are incredibly powerful machines that
take a new approach to processing information.
 Quantum computing can run new types of algorithms to
process information more holistically.
 They may one day lead to revolutionary breakthroughs in
materials and drug discovery, the optimization of complex
manmade systems, and artificial intelligence.
 The promise of quantum computing lies in the
ability to solve certain problems significantly
faster.
Biometrics
 Biometrics is the technical term for body measurements and
calculations. It refers to metrics related to human
characteristics.
 Biometrics authentication is used in computer science as a
form of identification and access control.
 The technology is mainly used for identification and access
control, or for identifying individuals who are under
surveillance.
 The basic premise of biometric
authentication is that every person can be
accurately identified by his or her intrinsic
physical or behavioral traits.
Autonomous Vehicles
 An autonomous vehicle is one that can drive itself from a
starting point to a predetermined destination in “autopilot”
mode using various in-vehicle technologies and sensors.
 This kind of vehicle has become a concrete reality and may
pave the way for future systems where computers take over
the art of driving.
 They also have the ability to use a range of technology known
as augmented reality, where a vehicle displays information to
drivers in new and innovative ways.
 Autonomous vehicles are able to perceive what is
going on in their surroundings and travel to
different locations through a combination of
sensors, cameras, radar and AI.
