Aryavart Gramin Bank

Erstwhile Aryavart Gramin Bank, a Regional Rural Bank, was


constituted on 3rd October 2006 after amalgamation of three
Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) namely Avadh Gramin Bank,
Barabanki Gramin Bank and Farrukhabad Gramin Bank as per
Government of India notification no. F.No.1/4/2006-RRB dated
03-10-2006. The said three RRBs were sponsored by Bank of
India and had location proximity. Like the parental bodies, the
amalgamated entity functions under Regional Rural Banks’ Act 1976 and was sponsored by
Bank of India.
The erstwhile Avadh Gramin Bank was constituted on 07-06-1977 under Regional Rural Banks’
Act 1976 vide Government of India’s notification no. F-1/77-RRB (III) dated 07-06-1977 as
Hardoi-Unnao Gramin Bank. The name was subsequently changed to Avadh Gramin Bank on
04-12-1987 after inclusion of Lucknow district under area of operation of the Bank, vide
Government of India’s notification no. F 1-27/84-RRB dated 04-12-1987. It had 120 branches at
the time of amalgamation on 03-10-2006.
The erstwhile Barabanki Gramin Bank was constituted on 26-03-1976 under Regional Rural
Banks’ Act 1976 vide Government of India’s notification no.dated 26-03-1976. It had 92
branches at the time of amalgamation on 03-10-2006.
The erstwhile Farrukhabad Gramin Bank was constituted on 29-03-1976 under Regional Rural
Banks’ Act 1976 vide Government of India’s notification no. F 4-90/75-AC(I) dated 29-03-1976.
It had 81 branches and 1 extension counter at the time of amalgamation on 03-10-2006.

SENIOR CITIZENS
The additional interest rate offered at present to Senior Citizens (Public other than staff) on
their Rupee Term Deposits is as under: On deposits of 6 months and less than 5 years an
additional rate of interest of 0.5% p.a. will be applicable. On deposits of 5 years and above an
additional rate of interest of 0.6% p.a. will be applicable

PURPOSE To provide financial assistance to meritorious


scholars for higher education.

Other Schemes
RURAL HOUSING FINANCE SCHEME

PURPOSE To enlarge coverage of those people who do not have the title
deeds in their names and to redress the problem of Rural Housing
through improved access to housing credit, which would enable
an individual to construct a modest new house to improve or add
to his existing dwelling unit in rural area.

ELIGIBILTY Such people, who are engaged in agriculture, Trade / business and
services etc.

QUANTUM OF FINANCE Construction of House / Additional


Construction: maximum Rs.3,00,000/-
Repairs / Renovation : maximum Rs.50,000/-

MARGIN 25% of the project cost

RATE OF INTEREST 13.00% p.a.

REPAYMENT 5 to 7 years in monthly / Quarterly / Half Yearly equated


installments depending on profession of the borrower.

SOLAR HOME LIGHTING SYSTEM

PURPOSE To overcome the problem of power shortage that is being faced


by the public particularly in rural & semi urban areas and to
exploit the solar energy as much as possible to preserve the fossil
fuel, i.e. coal, oil, gas and to fulfill the need for electricity, the use
of solar energy, for domestic and commercial heating and
lighting, emerged as the most viable and sustainable solutions to
the energy problems. Bank is actively participating in NABARD /
Govt. of India's "Capital subsidy-cum-Refinance Scheme"

ELIGIBILITY Households in rural, semi urban or urban areas, business


establishments, Hospitals, Hotels / Restaurants etc.
QUANTUM OF FINANCE Maximum 85% of the project cost

MARGIN 20% of the project cost, where capital subsidy is available.

SUBSIDY 30% of benchmark cost

RATE OF INTEREST 5% p.a.

REPAYMENT In 5 years in monthly / half yearly installments.

NOTE The Bank plans to engage Business Facilitators to propagate the


scheme, promote financing under it and also to ensure
maintenance of the Solar Home Lighting units with a vision to
provide partial employment to rural youth.

GENERAL CREDIT CARDS

PURPOSE To facilitate the customers in rural & semi urban areas with hassle
fee credit based on the assessment of cash flow without insistence
on security, purpose or end use of the credit.

ELIGIBILTY Such people, who are engaged in agriculture, business / self


employment etc.

QUANTUM OF FINANCE Rs.25,000/-.

MARGIN NIL

RATE OF INTEREST 13.00 p.a.

REPAYMENT This is in the nature of overdraft or cash credit with no end use
verification stipulation. The limit may be reviewed annually and
revised / cancelled depending upon track record of the account
holder.
FARM MECHANISATION

PURPOSE To provide credit facility for purchasing tractor, trolly and other
agricultural implements to perform farm operations smoothly, to
resolve the problem of human labour, to arrange transportation of
agriculture inputs and marketing of agriculture produce quickly.

ELIGIBILTY Such farmers, who hold minimum 5 acre perennially irrigated


agricultural land singly or jointly.

QUANTUM OF FINANCE As per project cost.

MARGIN 15 to 25% of the project cost

RATE OF INTEREST 13.50% p.a.; 13.50% under tie-up arrangement in case of


Tractors

REPAYMENT Maximum in 9 years.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FARMERS FOR PURCHASE OF TWO WHEELERS

PURPOSE To facilitate quick movement from home/farm to market, etc.

ELIGIBILTY Such farmers, who are permanent resident in the Bank’s service
area / area of operations and hold 2.5 acre perennially irrigated
agriculture land.

QUANTUM OF FINANCE 100% of net annual income or Rs.40,000/-, whichever is less.

MARGIN Minimum 25% of the project cost

RATE OF INTEREST 13.00% p.a

REPAYMENT In 5 years / in 10 Half Yearly equated installments.


FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FARMERS FOR PURCHASE OF LAND FOR
AGRICULTURE PURPOSE

PURPOSE To make small and marginal land holdings economically viable to


make barren land suitable for agriculture to provide credit facility
to Landless and small farmers.

ELIGIBILTY Small and marginal farmers, share croppers etc. having land
holding not exceeding 8.00 acres to 9.25 acres for dry land and
6.75 acres to 7.50 acres for irrigated land depending upon the land
holding criterion of the district. This land ceiling includes the land
to be purchased through this scheme.

QUANTUM OF FINANCE 100% of net annual income. As per area in which the land is to be
purchased, its valuation and development cost.

MARGIN 1. Upto Rs.50,000/- NIL

SCHEME FOR SOLAR WATER HEATER SYSTEM

PURPOSE To provide financial assistance for purchasing Solar Water Heater


Systems with necessary accessories. Bank is actively participating in
NABARD / Govt. of India's "Capital subsidy-cum-Refinance Scheme"

ELIGIBILTY Households in Rural, semi Urban and Urban Areas, business


establishments, Hostels, Hospitals, Hotel / Restaurants etc. who have
an assured source of income to meet out repayments. Any individuals,
institutions, NGO’s and commercial organizations.

LOAN AMOUNT Upto 80% of the cost of the project.

COST OF PROJECT From Rs.9500 to Rs.6.00 Lacs


MARGIN 20% of the project cost.

RATE OF INTEREST 5% p.a.

REPAYMENT Maximum repayment period 5 years inclusive of 3 months moratorium


period in equated monthly installments.

ADVANCE AGAINST INSURANCE POLICIES

PURPOSE To meet out the financial needs of customers Bank is providing


loan against policies; issued by Life Insurance Corporation of
India

ELIGIBILTY Any major person having bonafide Insurance Policy in his name.

 For LIC of India -75% of surrender value in 3 years old policies.

Nursing Home and for purchase of medical equipment with
working capital requirement.

ELIGIBILTY Individuals / partners (group of qualified medical practitioners).

QUANTUM OF FINANCE Rs. 100 Lacs of which working capital should not be more than
Rs.10.00 Lacs.

protection from pests and diseases, market trend and also clinical
services for animal health.

ELIGIBILTY Agriculture graduates / graduates in subject allied to agriculture,


like veterinary, dairy, etc.

KISAN CREDIT CARD FOR TENANT FARMERS / ORAL LESSEES / JOINT

PURPOSE Agricultural labours who have no agricultural land in their names and
are engaged in farming as tenant farmers / oral lessees.

ELIGIBILTY Group of 5 –20 tenant farmers who are associated in self help groups
for last 3 months and graded according to self help group concept.

AMOUNT OF LOAN Rs.50,000/- per member of the group maximum Rs.5.00 Lacs.

SWAROJGAR CREDIT CARD SCHEME

PURPOSE Self employment through Bank credit to small enterprises.

ELIGIBILTY Self employment, Artisans, Small businessman, weavers, fishermen,


Individuals, engaged in services, rikshaw pullers and SHG’s, etc.

AMOUNT OF LOAN Rs.1,00,000/- in the form of term loan and / or cash credit.

ANNAPURNA SCHEME

PURPOSE To provide financial assistance for domestic needs.

salaried persons drawing salary from branches of our Bank.

QUANTUM OF FINANCE Twenty times of net salary maximum Rs.4.00 Lac.

GRAH LAXMI YOJNA FOR WOMEN

Govt. / Semi Govt., educational / financial institute as drawing salary
from branches of our Bank.

KISAN SAMADHAN CARD

PURPOSE To fulfill entire needs of farmers for short term, medium term

satisfactory are eligible under the scheme.
