How do you feel about the lesson?

I decided to make up a summative test for the students to show me what they know
about each of the reading strategies we have done. I felt as though the format allowed
students to show me exactly what they could do and what they still needed help with.

What worked well? What didn’t?

Worked well:
- Format of the test allowing students to show me the extent of what they know
Didn’t work well:
- Some kids could have been prompted to work harder because they were just
trying to get it finished ASAP and giving me simple answers

What would you do differently next time?

- I would get students to get my ‘tick of approval’ before moving onto the next
reading strategy to ensure they’re doing their best work

This was a great representation for me to see what students could do on paper to
hopefully inform further planning for Rebecca and Maria.
