INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

A. Tell me about yourself.

 Well my recent position is a Design and Estimate Engineer, My duties were to prepare detailed
estimate for different HVAC and Fire Protection projects and to provide assistance to our sales
engineers and other department on technical queries of clients and suppliers. Before that I
worked at a construction and consultancy company, Some of my characteristic are being
Optimistic and Competitive with regards to work and willing to learned new things, Currently I’m
taking short courses that will honed my HVAC skills and knowledge in order to be more effective
and efficient mechanical engineer.

B. Why did you leave your last job?

 My decision for leaving was due to strategic career move, I want to engage more on design and
consultancy, even though my previous position have a design responsibility my duties fall more
on estimate rather than MPF design.

C. What are your Strengths?

 My Strength is being open minded, this trait allows me to gain new ideas and recognize
potential mistakes.

D. What are your Weakness?

 My Weakness is being Kind, Even though I’m busy I tend not to ignore their queries.

E. What have you done to improve your knowledge this last year?
 My recent knowledge that I acquire is to learned the Elite fire software, I’ve gain this knowledge
by taking short courses that is related to my profession and in the future I`m planning to take
Masteral degree in mechanical engineering.

F. Why we should hire you

 You should hire me because I have acquire the qualification that you need in this position. I am
confident that I could take any challenge head on and willing to take new responsibility that
could benefit me and my employer.

G. Have you ever had a conflict with your boss?

 No, I haven’t, but if this situation happen the first thing I will do is to ask him/her directly what
the problem is so that we can settle the issues between us so it will not affect our performance
in the company. If this still not worked I will just do my part as an employee finished my job on
time and be more productive.

H. What past accomplishment gave you satisfaction?

 My recent accomplishment is passing the master plumber licensure examination. This gave me
my second title, with this experience I gained knowledge in plumbing design.

I. How do you handle stress?

 I relax myself so that I can clearly see what decision right to be made.

J. What do you know about this organization?

 AC Ong Consulting Inc. cater different services including project management, feasibility study,
design and coordination, quantity surveying, construction management, value engineering and
others.

K. Why do you want to be part of this organization?

 I want to be part of a huge organization where I can learn and improved my career as an
engineer at the same time provide satisfaction for company.

L. How long would you stay if you’re hired?

 I willing to stay for the company as long as we both feel that I`m doing a good job.

M. What have you learned from mistake on this job?

 I learned that there is no easy way for everything. You should always think ahead than anyone.
