Madame Little (mlittle@stalcuincollege.com)

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday P2

Course Overview:
The French 12 curriculum is designed to encourage students to continue their
exploration of the French language, and to start confidently applying and creating
phrases in the language. Students will look into and explore the use of different phrases
and how they relate to themselves in the classroom, and to francophone communities
around the world. Through the different topics that will be covered over the course of the
class, students will develop their language skills and continue to increase their
confidence in communicating in written and oral French, as well as explore their
personal and social awareness. As students’ gain proficiency in French, they will be
practising and honing various skills, including critical thinking, creative thinking, and
communication skills.

The course is centered on the following Big Ideas:

French speakers.
4. Appreciation of Francophone cultures allows us to understand and explore global
issues with greater awareness.
5. Exploring diverse forms of cultural expression promotes a greater understanding
and appreciation of cultures worldwide.
