World Clean Up Day The Merritt and District Chamber of Commerce is planning to
host a community cleanup day in Merritt, Sept. 21, starting in the Civic Ctre parking
lot. Participants will be deployed throughout the community, residents are encour-
aged to clean up their own neighbourhoods. Bring your garbage-filled bags to the
Civic Ctre 2-4pm that day. There will also be a community yard sale.
Korean Culture event On Friday, Sept 27, there will be a free buffet of Korean-Phil-
ipino-First Nations traditional foods starting at 5:30pm, along with a performance of
traditional Korean dancers & drummers, as well as contemporary music — the per-
formers area coming direct from Korea to Merritt for the event. Everyone welcome.
