INTRODUCTION OF THE TOPIC
Any firm, from time to time, employs its short-term assets as well as short-
term financing sources to carry out its day to day business. It is this
management of such assets as well as liabilities which is described as working
capital management. Working capital management is a quintessential part of
financial management as a subject. It can also be compared with long-term
decision-making the process as both of the domains deal with the analysis of
risk and profitability. Adequate working capital ensures sufficient liquidity that
ensures the solvency of the organisation.Working capital ensured prompt and
on-time payments to the creditors of the organisation that helps to build trust
and reputation.

REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE


The National council of applied Economic Research (NCEAR) in 1966 first time
formal study was conducted onworking capital management in India. The
council published a structure of working capital" which was limited analysis of
the creation of working capital with special attention to the fertilizers, and
cement and sugar industries the main objective of this study was emphasized
on come out with findings that working capital management practices were
extremely unplanned and hence need to develop proper accounting policies
like inventory management, debtors management as above. And the study
suggested developing suitable working capital policies required in the success
of business.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The primary source that has been used in the preparation of the report is
taking the surveys, research articles, case studies, records and interviews .
The secondary data that has been used is Annual Reviews and company’s
website. According to research by NU, recruiters are increasingly looking for
research-driven minds that can bring more innovation into the workplace.
Taking a cue from the industry, the University has designed each of its
programmes in a way that students are drawn towards research through
R&D projects, methodology courses and inspirational lectures by eminent
professors and experts.
