Features
 Search for duplicate records based on any field (e.g. finding contacts with the same email address or
companies with the same phone number)
 Manually search for duplicate records based on specified criteria
 Merge duplicate contacts (especially when there are two or more records for the same contact with activity
notes and other records linked to them, the merge process re-links all records back to a single contact then
removes the duplicate)
 Merge duplicate company records (again, especially useful where companies have been duplicated through
import, duplicates have a number of contacts, rather than having to manually re-assign all contacts and
dealing with issues like linking activity notes to the correct company, the merge process does all this)
 Powerful data grid for manipulating company and contact listings including sort/group options, column
selection and data export options

Summary
The duplicate removal tool is designed to ease the process of eradicating duplicate company and/or contact records.
Despite the best efforts, duplication can be caused through any number of issues such as importing for multiple
business systems with subtle differences in record names. Contact imports are a prevalent case where variation in
name and/or city may result in a number of contacts for the same company being created against two company
records rather than one.

There are a number of challenges duplicate records present which this utility is designed to assist to overcome.
Primarily, the process is extremely simple for first finding records that are possible duplicates then merging records
confirmed by the user as duplicates.

The merge tool provides a simple user interface to find then merge duplicate records. The duplicate detection search
is particularly valuable in that users can select any field and find records with non-unique values with in it (common
examples include finding companies with the same phone number or contacts with the same email address).

Exonet Data Import
Summary
For organisations operating MYOB Exonet this utility facilitates data import particularly to support initial installation
of Legrand CRM. The utility enables a number of import routines including:

 Map individual Exonet address lines to Legrand CRM


 Import Exonet group fields to Legrand CRM drop-down list fields (e.g. type & industry)
 Import debtor email address to Legrand CRM primarily contact
 Field formatting (e.g. format company name into title case)
 Import debtor comments to Legrand CRM comments
 Import debtor contact history into Legrand CRM activity notes
File Finder
Summary
A powerful new addition to the ABA Utility Suite, the file finder is designed to provide users with a powerful
mechanism to search for files attached to Legrand CRM activity notes. Once a search is performed users can simply
double click a file to open. The search includes standard parameter options such as;

 Activity note date range (includes easy pre-defined date ranges as well as manual date selection)
 File attachment extension/type (e.g. PDF documents)
 File name
 Linked company/contact (find files specifically linked to a contact and/or company)
 Powerful data grid with advanced sort, filter and column selection options. Users can also save grid layouts.

In addition the utility includes module specific search functions such that users can search for files based on a link to
campaigns, opportunities or customer service records. The module specific searches include the ability to search on
module record reference number, status, summary and alike.

File Import + Send To Utility
Summary
The file import utility empowers users to easily import individual files and/or folders (including sub-folders) into
Legrand CRM as Activity Note attachments.

The utility include the following file import methods, all of which support individual files and or folders;

 Right-click Send To function


 Drag-and-drop
 Invoke from Legrand CRM custom menu (Legrand CRM Corporate Edition only)
Possible Applications
Whilst by no means limited to the following, example use for this utility includes:

 Easily import files to Legrand CRM whilst browsing with Windows Explorer (via Send To function)
 Bulk import of files for contacts or companies for other systems
 Bulk import of file for link to other module records (for example import of opportunity or job documents
bulk via folder drag-and-drop). The ability to import entire folders means that any number of files can be
easily imported to Legrand CRM without having to manually add each file individually. The generated
activity notes can also be dated based on file date to ease the process of correctly handling bulk file import.

MS Exchange Automated Calendar Export
Summary

Automated export of Legrand CRM events to MS Exchange Mailboxes

Ability to have events sent through to any mobile device capable of connecting to
Microsoft Exchange

Our new export utility is designed for organisations operating Microsoft Exchange Server that desired the ability to
automatically export calendar events from Legrand through to the associated user's Exchange calendar.

For some organisations this simply bypasses the need for manual export of calendar events from Legrand to
Exchange. For others it enables timely and automated export of events through to Exchange such that appointments
are assessable on mobile devices (any device that support connection to a MS Exchange mailbox including iPhones,
BlackBerry devices and any other mobile/computer capable of communicating with Exchange).

We developed this utility initially for a local site operating a telemarketing centre with a mobile sales force. The
utility enables them to create events within Legrand which are then downloaded to the rep's mobile device within a
few minutes of the event being created for them in the CRM. The exported events include event details such as type
and notes as well as additional information such as location and other contact/company details.
Password Manager (administrator password management)
Summary
The password administration tool provides the ability for users to change their own password as well as
administration functions to enforce password complexity and age requirements. As a result it is particularly valued
by organisations with strict security policies and/or compliance regulations.

Administrator users can specify password complexity requirements such as password length and containing
characters. Subsequently administrators can also set and enforce password aging requirements. Password aging
enables administrators to reset user passwords in bulk, users are emailed a temporary password (based on
complexity requirements) which they can use to login then alter their password.

Import Utility
Summary
The ABA Import Utility provides an easy to use interface for importing Activity Notes, Tasks, Opportunities and
Customer Service records into Legrand CRM from CSV file (Excel). Designed to offer users flexibility, the interface
provides various options for contact matching rules and supports import to all core fields.

This utility is extremely valuable to new sites particularly seeking to migrate information for other systems into
Legrand CRM. Equally it presents a simple mechanism for existing clients to create records in bulk saving data entry
time.
QuoteWerks Link (integration for QW + Legrand CRM)
Summary
QuoteWerks is a leading quote generation package used by over 50,000 users in more than 100 countries
Designed with a key emphasis on being able to quickly produce quotes in a system that is easy to used yet provides
an enormous depth of features (for example advanced document layout management, tracking revisions, dynamic
entry).

ABA integration utility bridges the gap between Legrand CRM as your contact management solution and
QuoteWerks as your quoting system. Result is an integrated CRM solution that includes quote generation and
management functions.

Key Features
 Within QuoteWerks, contact/company lookups are tied to Legrand CRM. Selection of a record populates the
document in QuoteWerks with the address and contact details stored in CRM.

 When saving a QuoteWerks document an activity note in Legrand CRM is created including a link to open the
document.

 Ability to click custom menu option in Legrand CRM which opens a new QuoteWerks document pre-
populated with the select contact and company details.

 Designed for automated use. Starts with QuoteWerks and does not require user to remember to perform
and linking.

 Tightly integrated to Legrand CRM. For example, module and screen label customizations are carried
through to the utility setup menus.

 Supports Legrand CRM PRO and CORP editions although some features of the utility are only supported with
CORP edition.

Workflow (task clone) Utility
Summary
ABA Task Clone provides the ability for users pre-populate an opportunity or customer service record within Legrand
CRM with a listing of tasks. This saves users having to manually create a series of tasks particularly useful when many
tasks are required and/or to ensure users follow a pre-defined set of tasks.

The concept is simply based on users being able to select a “template” which is a opportunity or customer service
record (works for either module) within Legrand CRM then select the new record they wish to setup the task series
for. With some options for date settings and user assignment, the utility then creates the list of tasks based on the
task list on the template record.

We are presently seeking to extend this functionality to offer automated functions. This will include the ability to
automatically generate tasks based on specified actions such as creation of a new sales opportunity or progression of
an opportunity to the next stage (hence enabling tasks to be created automatically for each stage once reached).
