Announcements
• Third Grade Curriculum Night: Our Curriculum Night will take place at 5pm, on Thursday,
September 19th in the Nave. All K-4 parents will meet in the Nave, but third grade parents
will remain in the nave until 5:45. Please note, that this will be an overview of our curriculum,
and that if you have questions or needs that are specific to your student, please schedule a
separate conference with us. Additionally, this is a parent-only event. Passport will remain open
until 6 for students who are pre-registered, but students will not be allowed to be picked up at
carpool and then brought back to attend passport at 5.

•Accordion Folders: We ask that you partner with us to teach these very important skills,
especially by checking these new folders each night. The purpose of these folders is to build
students' executive functioning skills, and to begin to teach the importance of responsibility
and organization. In addition to checking agendas, we ask that parents check the first 4 tabs
in particular, nightly: Parent Sign, Unfinished Work, Reading Log, and Keep at Home. If you
have any questions, please let us know.

•Author Visit: We are very excited to share with you our upcoming Author Visit with Max
Brallier. His newest series is The Last Kids on Earth. (He is also the author of the Eerie
Elementary series under the name Jack Chabert.) He will be coming on at 10:00am on
September 25th, Students may pre-order books that Max will autograph to the students.

•Scholastic Book Fair: The book fair will take place next week, September 16-20. Every
purchase benefits our library – thank you for your continued support!!!! It will be in Parish Hall,
Monday-Wednesday at 8-9:30am, and 2:15-6pm, and Thursday-Friday 8-9:30, and 12:45-6pm.

•Renweb: Please keep up with your child’s grade percentages and progress on Renweb.

Reminders
• Please check your child’s agenda daily. The agenda contains important information
regarding assessments, assignments and projects. It also contains assignments from the day
that may need to be completed as homework.

• Please try to remind your student to bring their own snacks each day. We are letting them
know it is their responsibility to make sure they pack them.

• Chapel is every Tuesday morning. Please have your child wear the chapel uniform and proper
accessories (ties and cross-ties).
