PRESENTE SIMPLE
1. Para narrar hábitos y rutinas. Por ejemplo:
I wake up at 7 / My friends play football on Saturdays.
2. Situaciones permanentes: I live in Málaga (vivo en Málaga
desde hace tiempo y preveo seguir haciéndolo mucho
tiempo).
3. Verdades universales. En otras palabras, cosas que son así,
sin más. London is in England (Londres está en Inglaterra) /
The Moon revolves around the Earth. (La luna gira alrededor
de la tierra)
4. Verbos estáticos (love, hate, smell, taste, think, know…): I love sweets (me encantan las golosinas) /
I think you are great (creo que eres genial).
Adverbios de frecuencia siempre
normalmente
- La regla general es que se colocan delante del verbo: a menudo
I always go to bed at 10pm. a veces
She never says “Sorry”.
- Si acompañan al verbo to be, se colocarán detrás:
casi nunca
She is always happy. nunca
You are never on time.
Expresiones de tiempo
- Normalmente van al final:
I always watch TV in the evenings
- Aunque también pueden ir al principio o
Otras: All the years, all the days, on Sundays…
en medio de la frase, para enfatizar:
Generally, I don't like spicy foods. / I generally don't like spicy foods.
- NUNCA entre el verbo y el objeto:
I have in the kitchen breakfast.
TERCERA PERSONA: SPELLING  S en 3ª persona
Los verbos que terminan en –Y cuando no es precedida por una vocal, 3ª persona en –IES: FLY  FLIES
Sí la –Y es precedida por una vocal, la tercera persona se forma con una – S: PLAY PLAYS
Para los verbos con terminación -o, sh, -ch,-ss,-x, -z, -y se añade –ES. GOES, WISHES, REACHES, FIXES…
PRESENT CONTINUOUS
1. Para referirnos a algo que sucede justo en el momento de hablar.
I am eating an Apple
Situaciones cíclicas en un periodo de tiempo.
I am getting up early this month.
