Introduction
Your CITEC air conditioning equipment has been carefully designed, manufactured and inspected to give you
precise and trouble free environmental control with proper installation, commissioning and maintenance, it will give
many years of service.
This Manual is intended to provide you as a user, with information sufficient for everyday operation plus advice on
emergency procedures. Please complete and return the CITEC WARANTY REGISTRATION CARD in the testing
& commissioning manual.
Further Assistance
If further assistance is needed, please contact CITEC INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD, your LOCAL Distributor or
your INSTALLER as appropriate. It would be useful if you have to hand details of the equipment model number,
serial number, date of supply and any available reference numbers relating to the purchase.
Maintenance
Regular preventive maintenance of your air conditioning equipment is strongly recommended to ensure its peak
operating condition. Our highly skilled engineers are fully trained in the areas of electronics and microprocessor
control. They can provide full maintenance services for overseas users and distributions.
For overseas users, distributors in many countries can provide full maintenance services by their technically
served engineer.

It is essential for starting, shutting down, emergency operation and fault finding to know the location of the
following components:
UNIT IS DESIGNED AND BUILT FOR CONTINUOUS OPERATION AND IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE
SYSTEM IS KEPT RUNNING DAY AND NIGHT TO MAINTAIN STABLE ROOM CONDITIONS.
Short Period§
Should you require the equipment to be shut down for the weekend or Holidays, no special precautions are
required. Each unit may simply be turned “off” at the controller display and switched back “ON” when required. The
ON/OFF key, NOT the isolator must be used.
Alternatively, the “Run and Stop” days or times can be set in the controller software.
Long Period§
If the plant is to be shut down for longer periods – for instance seven days, this can be done by switching
OFF at the ON/OFF key, then Switching OFF the Main Isolator, and closing the local mains water supply to the
humidifier. When restarting the plant, follow the same instructions but in the reverse order.
Indefinitely§
When an equipment to be taken out of service for an indefinite period, it is advisable to have the services of a
qualified air conditioning engineer to shut down the equipment. An engineer will also be required when re-starting
the plant after the shut down period.
§ - For units fitted with chilled water cooling and/or L.P.H.W. heating, the main power should remain
“ON” for at least the stroke time of the valve actuator (250 seconds maximum) to ensure that the valve closes
fully.

Emergency Procedures
In any cases an air conditioning equipment fails to maintain the correct conditions, please contact the service
office and give a concise report on your problems.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the inter-relationship of temperature and humidity, high temperature and low humidity or
low temperature and high humidity can occur simultaneously. In such cases resolve the temperature first as it will
probably rectify the humidity.
