3. To you, what is Habitat for Humanity? You may give a SWOT Analysis. Answer in no
more than 300 words.

Homelessness is an issue that is both timely and relevant in the Philippines

however not too many people focus on this because of their lack of awareness or
even ignorance. Habitat for Humanity is a platform for Ateneans, such as myself to
be able to help those who are in need of shelter. It is a way for me and many
others to step out into light and face this problem that has been here for over
centuries. This organization will take me closer into understanding what I can do as
a student and as a Filipino to make someone’s life more comfortable and hopefully
spark a change that will inspire others.

4. Why are you applying to be an Associate Vice President? Answer in no more than 150
words.

To be an Associate Vice President would mean a great deal for me because I

would love to be a part of an organization that strives in lessening the number of
homeless people in the Philippines. One of my biggest fears is to one day end up
without shelter and the comfort that it provides, so to know that thousands of
Filipinos are facing this is heartbreaking. If I were given the chance to be an AVP, I
will work hard and use my skills in order to
help the organization and the country.

5. What are your strengths and weaknesses with regards to your chosen
department/s? Answer in no more than 500 words per department.

One of my greatest strengths is that I am very passionate about the things that are
important to me. This will be very helpful in my chosen department because I will
help assist the VP all the while exerting maximum effort in order to complete or
perfect a given task. I am also someone who comes up with a handful of ideas
which will be beneficial during brainstorming. A weakness is that I have not
attended any Habitat for Humanity project however I am very much interested in
what the organization stands for.

6. How do you deal with an unresponsive core member?

I believe confrontation is key when dealing with an unresponsive core member. If
you want somebody to do their job properly you have to communicate your
thoughts to them. By taking action, you will not only get them to work harder but to
hopefully gain motivation to complete their assigned task.

o A website that allows anyone to donate anything, whether
it be cash, clothes or books in the easiest way possible.
All donations will be given to a warehouse then eventually
distributed to those who need it.
- Food Hub for the Homeless
o All excess food from buffets that are usually thrown out
and wasted will be donated to a feeding spot for the
homeless
