Reflection Notes: The Danielson Framework is for teachers and I am a Psychologist. Therefore,
many areas are not applicable. Domain 2 relates to the testing environment. Domain 1: 1a, 1b,
& 1f: relates to the planning and preparation for meetings (Eligibility) – assessing learning
through data reviews, consultation with staff/parents, and the use of assessment tools and my
knowledge of students is from my experience assessing the student and in some cases observing
the student in the classroom in addition to the data collected and reviewed about the student
which includes reviewing previous evaluations. My knowledge of pedagogy is from previous
coursework, teaching, and is evident through discussion during meetings (consent/assessment
planning, consultation with teachers around interventions, and eligibility meetings).
Domain 2: 2a-2e – I interview students and explain the testing process to students to build
rapport, occasionally manage behavior during testing by setting clear expectations/using
behavior charts/providing stress management items (stress balls), and my physical space is
always neat and clean
Domain 3: this domain is in regards to meetings – I have attended meetings and clearly and
accurately communicated my assessment results to the staff/parents and I always ask if the
staff/parents have questions about the information shared. In consultation/planning meetings
with staff I have rearranged my schedule to attend many of these meetings and I have provided
direct support to teachers around intervention data collection
Domain 4: My records are accurate and secure, I have communicated with families in
consent/assessment planning meetings and other meetings (eligibility), I have set goals/actively
participated in a mentoring program/plan to attend (already scheduled) professional development
to efforts to grow professionally, and I am always professional.
Mentee Next Steps: Continue to work towards my professional goals and utilize the mentor as a
resource
